Ed’s Note
It’s December my favourite month … mainly because we can ski in the Troodos mountains in the morning and swim in the mediterranean sea in the afternoon, don’t you just love Cyprus … oh, and because it’s Christmas and of course I’ve been a really good boy and that means father Christmas will bring me lots of prezzies …

It’s also the end of another year so is time for Work’s parties, Christmas parties, New Year parties and fancy dress parties and lots of Christmas fayres and we’ll all be getting together with family and friends to eat too much, drink to much, and with a bit of luck get some sex on the beach? … calm down, it’s a cock tale 😉

As many of you know I have a passion for Cyprus, Photography and Creative Writing … put them all together and I’m a happy bunny, doing again, exactly what I came here to do in 1993 … So, we can help you all find out what’s on, where it’s on, when it’s on … where to go shopping and of course what to buy me for Christmas …

This App has well over 200 pages of just that … some of our recommendations are closed for the winter but there’s still plenty to do, so don’t let me hear anyone say there’s nowhere to go or nothing to do …

In fact as various conflicts happen around this part of the world, Cyprus has again shown it’s traditional hospitality, and welcomed many more stranded tourists and several hotels on the east coast and in turn more restaurants and bars are staying open so we should see a nice international mix including locals who are still in winter season mode …

We have fine harbours in every major coastal city with lots of boat trips, fishing trips and fish taverns that’ll even cook your catch for you … there’s enough bars and restaurants providing that home from home feeling …

In Larnaca, the prominade is a hive of activity day and night and there’s a new Skate park providing indoor fun for kids and grown ups … why not catch a band at Savino Live, or pop down to catch the Flamingos nestled in the Salt Lake for the winter …

Cosmopolitan Limassol, our Capital on the coast, boasts a beautiful new marina and lots of old renovated buildings that have become more stylie bars, cozy eateries and a cultural shopper’s paradise … and right in the heart of old town in the Carob Mills we’ll have the 1st Mediterranean Science Festival from 3rd ’til 6th December …

Nicosia, the Capital comes into it’s element in the winter as over 250,000 population stay near home and party like no others … a massive selection bars, pubs, style cafes and eateries of every cuisine imaginable and of course the best Christmas shopping in Cyprus …
