Right on the bend in the heart of Pernera is this excellent Mexican Restaurant run by the eminent Luigi, he’s so passionate about his food, and btw a personal friend for many years.
An awesome bloke with a fantastic attitude, not just towards his restaurant but the whole of Pernera. I have to agree, its my fav part of Cyprus, the whole ambience is traditionally Mexican, so that’ll set off the mood for even more fresh strawberry Margaritas, that btw are absolutely full of zest, and sooo mooorish it’s hard to just have the one, might as well have a jug ! … oh, in that case, you might as well order a jug of their sangria while you’re there, made with a quality Cypriot wine, be rude not to 😉
Now, just let me explain, here the Mexican food isn’t hot, it’s refreshing, in fact, you can request your selection to your taste, so everyone is happy. The chef is of course Mexican with over 12 years experience, his specialities are the Burritos, Chimichanga, and an array of Fajitas, but the menu is huge so you’ll find it hard to choose, all served by the drop dead gorgeous Scandi crew … who’ll serenade you on your birthday using the kitchen utensils as instruments … it’s just brilliant !
On Thursdays enjoy a little background Sax as you’re presented with a little live melodic sax to accompany your meal …
Sunday nights there’s live Latin music from the trio from Rio, well Cuba really but hey this band are awesome, just love the music, which btw got everyone up dancing, very cool !!
This place has a lovely friendly atmosphere and its kid friendly with their own menu and a bouncy castle out back. There’s even big hats and replica guns for the photos so don’t forget your camera. Oh, and don’t miss the cocktail menu, some lovely ideas and tantalising Mojitos, strawberry or mint, mmm!
Naturally they welcome enquiries for Private Parties, small weddings, stag and hen nights and any excuse for another Margarita Parties … Check out their fb videos here and why not check out their reviews on Trip Advisor
