This is the oldest bar in Paphos, sitting proudly on the corner of the entrance to old town ... it's a small, cozy, happy bar, minimalistic in design, but it's leading the way in the new trend of barring ...
Chris said, ''we just came on holiday, decided to move and bought the pub ...". I've heard that before a few times ... but these guys have just blended in like they've been here for years ... I expect it's got something to do with the traditional Cypriot Hospitality that oozes from the family and crew.
This is without doubt one of Paphos' finest Bars ... It's a traditional Irish Bar, so authentic all the furniture was crafted in Ireland an imported over, lots of dark warm wood, benches and stools, cottage cabinets and red brick. There's plenty of room inside, a nice covered smoking room and a lovely breezy sun terrace out front with comfortable seating, its just like you've walked into bar in Dublin !!!
The secret behind their success is down to the quality of their ingredients, everything fresh daily and cooked to order, the presentation impeccable ! Marios told me "to cook a good steak you first have to buy a good steak" and that's exactly what they do, importing the finest Black Angus beef and the freshest seafood caught daily by local fishermen.
OMG ! Imagine what happens when they have the occasional 'Happy Days' ? ...
Haris bar looks the part as you arrive, a cool low modern building, even cooler signage, its comfortable, with spacious inside and outside seating on the covered beer gardens style patios, and out back, a lawn surrounded by sun terraces with full size family pool in the middle for their clients kids to play in free ... oh and an awesome British chef creating a really good Mediterranean menu !
It’s a family run restaurant for over 20 years, and naturally a great place for any age from children to grandparents. Serving enormous, value for money portions, and the kids have a separate menu that they can colour in and take away, and they’ll even size down the meals for granny !
