I've been to all their venues and have to say they're in a class of their own.
Situated in Pernera, just of the main strip you’ll find one of the finest Italian restaurants this side of Italy ! I've known Sotiris the owner, since he opened but he's been in the business for many more years and trust me, it doesn’t go unnoticed ! Everything is finely tuned from his choice of staff down to the wine bottle holders ...
Now this is where this place excels ... they call them seasonal 'Rain Gifts, so this family are dedicated to bringing you the freshest and most sought after wild Cypriot produce, like Baby Wild Artichokes, Snails, Asparagus, and a regular trip to Paphos to find rare wild mushrooms is all part of the norm, often walking 15 to 25 km a day to bring you the best selection that night ... needless to say if you like wild mushrooms this place is a must !!!
Bursting at the seams with talent, one of my best friends ‘Xenis’, without doubt one of Cyprus’ best chefs, conjures his Cordon Bleu pub grub, from a huge menu including a kid’s choice, vegetarian selection and the best Sunday lunch ever … Completely international it’s a ‘must eat at’ place OK! … and remember he’s usually one step ahead of the competition !
I just love their tagline ... 'You can't buy happiness, but you can buy Donuts, and that's kind of the same thing' ... so pop in or call them and give someone something different for their wedding, birthday party, name day, naughty days and well, everyday ... with cool discounts for large orders ... and if you order a minimum of 100 he'll even deliver them to your party.
When the boys called me to tell me they're opening a traditional BBQ shack in Pernera, I was excited to say the least ... you know, there's absolutely nothing like a traditional Cypriot Kebab, it's almost indigenous to Cyprus. That forgettable aroma of fresh pork or chicken, finely dusted with oregano and sea salt, slowly cooking over real wood charcoals is unforgettable, and the flavours at Mr. Soulvlaki are tantalising to say the least ...
Open 365 days a year, with an extensive selection of Wines, Beers & Spirits at wholesale prices with a walk in Cava, wines chilled to perfection ... and munchies ... what more could you want? A Cash Point, yep they got that too ...
... let me explain, here the Mexican food isn't hot, it's refreshing, in fact, you can request your selection to your taste, so everyone is happy. The chef is of course Mexican with over 12 years experience, his specialities are the Burritos, Chimichanga, and an array of Fajitas ... but the menu is huge so you'll find it hard to choose, all served by the drop dead gorgeous scandi crew ... who'll serenade you on your birthday using the kitchen utensils as instruments ... it's just brilliant !
They called it 'MisoHoro', as it in the centre of the village, I always thought it meant Half a Dance ? ... ha! when you leave here you'll only just about be able to walk 😉
Bursting at the seams with talent, one of my best friends 'Xenis', without doubt one of Cyprus' finest chefs, who passionately conjures up his Cordon Bleu pub grub, using only the freshest and finest ingredients from local suppliers and some grown in Xenis' personal allotments ... and btw Xenis likes to stay one step ahead of the competition 😉
