This wonderful children’s adventure is back for the fourth year running with lots more enchanting fun and magic! … oh, and trust me, there’s nothing quite like watching your kids’ faces when they spot the mermaids for the first time! … it’s priceless!
The Cruise
The story begins as any good story should; ‘Once upon a time’ there were two mermaids … the kids all listen with a sense of anticipation … then there’s a fun treasure hunt led by their onboard characters; Pirate Billy Bones and the delightful Tinkerbell to keep the nippers occupied …
There They Are!!!
As we get closer to Blue Lagoon, it’s everyone to the front of the boat coz it’s time to spot the real live mermaids, normally we find them basking in the sun on the rocks at the gorgeous Blue Lagoon and guess what? if you shout out loud enough, they’ll dive in and you’ll have the chance to swim with them in the beautiful crystal clear, safe waters of the lagoon …
Swim Stops
There are a limited number of life jackets on board so I recommend you take your own armbands or flotation devices if you have them, oh and don’t worry there are lifeguards and a diving team on board for your added safety. The water in Blue Lagoon is crystal clear and the mermaids will dive off the rocks into the sea and swim to the boat to entertain and interact with your children as they swim together and pose for photos both in the water and on the back of the boat, oh btw the mums get to pose with them too 😉
Face Painting
On the way back you can admire the rugged terrain, as Captain Andreas pulls in and out of the caves and caverns, so close to the rocks you have to push them off! Check out delightful beaches and bays, whilst for the children, there’s a Mini Disco upstairs with face painting and glitter tattoos created by Tinkerbell on the lower deck for a small fee. They also provide snacks for the children.
Meeting Point
The Mermaid Cruise sails every Saturday afternoon and the cruise lasts just over 2 hours. They meet at 4.45 pm on the pier, aka, Nissiotis Jetty, in Protaras … please note this is the meeting time and they set sail at 5 pm. Returning back on dry land at 7 pm’ ish …

Booking
You can either book your tickets through Facebook, call them on Tel: 0035799961685 or at various Tour Offices in Protaras including Titan Travel in Protaras and Daxi Information in Pernera. You can even purchase them at the Tour Kiosks on Protaras Jetty or just come down to the Jetty on the day.
Directions
To join The Mermaid Cruise take the first left at Waves Cocktail Bar, just after McDonald’s on the one-way strip in Protaras, you will see the jetty at the bottom of the road beside Yianna Marie Beach, and there’s ample parking.
