Summer’s Here
I popped into catch up with Tassos, Christos, Andreas at Melissis Dry Cleaners in Paralimni because it’s that time of the year when the quilts and blankets come off the bed, heavy curtains are replaced with nets, the winter wardrobe switches places with the summer one and it’s time to look good and enjoy our long hot summers …

As I gave Tasos my feather and down quilt, as I always do at this time of the year, because feathers need speciality treatment and I’ve been using them for almost 30 years, because I know they take that extra little time to make sure everything is cleaned perfectly. and they were just 20 metres from What’s On offices. Tassos told me “it’s a busy season and naturally they are following all health and safety protocols”. At that moment a client brought in a set of sofa and chair covers for the garden furniture and I thought ‘that’s a good idea’!
