Their Move
I’d heard so many compliments about them, I wanted to meet Peter, so a few years back, I popped in to have a coffee and a chat with him. Originally from Dagenham, Debbie and Peter moved here from Canvey Island in Essex, back in 2006 and Peter immediately launched his ‘Man with a Van’ service. Quickly adding a trailer, it didn’t take long for them to realise there was a niche in the removals market and as the demand increased, they picked up on it quickly. By 2007 they had bought their first lorry and evolved into a removals and shipping company.
Personal Effects
Their immediate success, allowed them to move into their first warehouse, eventually expanding it, and now comprises 7,500 square meters of storage space. They became members of the British Association of Removals and they’re certified by the Alliance of Independent Removals and Move Assured, offering that extra element of assurance. They now have 15 Mercedes removal trucks and 7 cars and a team of over 20 fully trained professionals, speaking English, Greek and Russian.
Progress
They also linked up with the excellent Chudley International in the UK, offering a first class international import and export service for personal effects, cars, boats, fine arts and just about anything you want to move from one place to another, worldwide and they’ve recently opened their second office in Limassol not far from the main port …
Complete Service
Peter Morton Removals offers a complete service, so all you have to do is make a call to the office to arrange a survey. They will then take care of everything, from the meticulous wrapping & packing, including crating – these are made on site and also bespoke to your requirements. They will professionally pack your goods and are able to store them until you require them back, when the reverse service happens including unwrapping, positioning and removal of packing materials.
Storage
As the years have passed, Peter Morton Removals, have found an increasing request for storage space. Following the demand, the company have enlarged their State of the Art Storage Facilities, within the 7,500 square meter warehouse, with 24/7 security, there are over 600 purpose made, 250 cubic feet storage crates, all individually numbered. They’ll arrive at your house, where their professional crew will meticulously pack and load the crate, then take it to the warehouse, where it will remain untouched and safely stored, until you need it, then the process works in reverse … I asked for how long? “peter said, one customer has stored his possessions here for 9 years … Wow!
Cars & Boats
Peter Morton also offer a Car & Boat Shipping and covered storage with 24/7 security, so you can leave your prized possession at their warehouse where it will be methodically looked after. With a purpose-built transporter, their excellent reputation has surpassed them, tried and trusted with pickup and delivery of your cars and boats to and from the airport or marina and all over Europe and UK and just safe and secure storage of both while you are away from Cyprus.
Import & Export
Peter is happy to take on any job, big or small, moving the whole contents of your house, business, consignment, furniture, fine arts, retail stock, non-consumables, and more recently, specialising in the import and export of cars, motorbikes and boats. They take care of the clearing agents, taxes, MOT’s and registrations, to offer a complete service and always with a smile.
Customs & Registration
They offer full registration services on all vehicles and a full logistical service under the watchful eye of Costas, along with Pantelis who arranges all the appropriate customs clearances.
VAT & Taxes
In fact they are there to advise you on taxes and duties before you buy your car or boat, especially on whether to buy excluding VAT in the country you are buying it from and they’ll sort out everything for you, especially during these days of pandemic and after Brexit, keeping up to date with all legalities and legislations.
