What's On Cyprus

As we come to the end of our long, hot, summer season, the season for exhibitions, tours, and festivals is well and truly underway.  As usual, we'll also see lots of end-of-summer closing parties, it's any excuse to clear all the stock.  Naturally, that will bring lots of winter opening parties, and maybe some really cool Christmas markets too!

Yiolanda studies the fashion world with a passion, looking for the latest designs and as Brouska represent over 20 of the world's leading fashion designers, its almost a full time job, often visiting Italy, France, Greece and the UK to attend exhibitions and fashion shows. Together they bring you an impeccable collection of clothes, shoes and unique accessories.

Ladies; As I walked in, I immediately thought, ‘wow this place looks the business’, spacious, with lots of mirrors, hanging fresh plants to increase the oxygen levels, above a row of impressive water-filled Aqua Eyedrop Punch Bags, and along the back wall, a line of very expensive ‘Stages’ Fitness Bikes of Amsterdam … I soon realised I wasn’t wrong.

It might sound crazy, but by the end of December, in the morning you can go skiing or even Husky Sledding in the Troodos Mountains, and just over an hour later you can swim in The Mediterranean Sea and that’s just one of the reasons why I think this place is paradise!  And remember Cypriots live for the table, so be warned, in the festive season you’ll probably put on a few kilos!

So, another big plus is there's a distinct lack of 5 to 16 year old's on the beach, making room for the older crew, the party weathered lot, who really know how to party!  All the mature boobs are out on the beach, and why not?  The restaurants are in their element, as the Island of Love captures all those romantic couples, who'll eventually end up getting married here, making us the number one place to get Wed in the Europe!!!

Gotta give a big shout out to all the dance schools and companies putting on a spectacular show for us again ... Especially the Performers Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts, from Ayia Napa who all looked awesome and Elena Tofa's Passion Dance School ... how many Avatars did you count ???

Protaras and Ayia Napa lay either side of Cape Greco ... which btw is the most south easterly point on the island !

Happy New Year !!! It's January, and as we’ve always said; Cyprus is versatility to the extreme, you just have to love this place coz in January you can ski in the Troodos mountains in the morning and just over an hour later you can be swimming in the med … Maybe the other way around, then you can get into some Après Ski in and chill out in a log cabin in the mountains, total tranquility comes to mind, and do it the other way around tomorrow!
