When I asked George why they called it Dionysus he said; "because he is the God of the Vine, Grape Harvest & Winemaking, but mostly because he is also the God of Fun, and the idea of the restaurant was inspired by wine, fun and theatre, and most of all enjoyment! Talking about beaches, you know Ayia Napa and Protaras boast 2 of the best beaches in Europe and I believe we have the nicest sea I’ve ever had the pleasure to swim in, licensing hours currently ‘til 2.30 am, and then, of course, our night clubs will take you through to sunrise, not too good for the tan unless you go straight to the beach.

I’ve often watched Jenny completely change people in a few minutes … it is quite amazing what a good quality hair piece can do to make you look like someone new or maybe you just want to surprise someone, either way a visit here will suffice … oh and btw Jenny has a few selected summer clothing designs and sandals and not many people know this; she contributes considerable amounts of her profits to Children in Need in African ... an amazing woman !!!

I was delighted to be invited to catch Bill and Ems, aka Dejavu, playing live at Lithos Bar & Grill in Larnaca.  On that night they were joined by Andreas, their drummer, and as a trio, they go by the name 'Strings Attached'  I really loved this gig so much, especially their covers of Fever, and Hotel California, so I grabbed the chance to ask Bill if we could get together for a chat.

my first impressions when I walked through the door, was wow this looks professional, the quality stands out, the rustic, warehouse feel with high ceilings and cool lighting.  A warm welcome from Constantinos,, plenty of room, out front about 250 square metres of Wines & Spirits, mixers and soft drinks, out back more than 150 Beers from around the world including Belgium, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Cyprus and of course the UK!

This is without a doubt, one of my favourite bars on the strip and now one of my favourite eateries too ... I asked Andreas, why the '3 Jokers'?  He said in Cyprus, the Joker is the one that does all the jobs.  So I asked Floris what are you now, King of the Bar? He laughed and said ... No! I'm the Jack, here to keep the peace lol

This is where they excel, specialising in over 20 different choices of kebabs.  Gyros here is a choice of 4 meats, pork, chicken from Greece, beef and lamb from the UK, each cut into thin slices, layered and seasoned, and set onto big skewers ready to be imported.  Vangelis said, "I spend a little extra, but I get the very best" ... I said "do you then add a little more seasoning" and he said "there's really no need", tbh, the beef Gyro was probably the best I've ever tasted ... Here's a link to their full Menu 

Now in their third shop, its around 1,500 square metres, split into about 10 sections, for the home, pool and garden, with so much on display, you'll probably find what you're looking for and if not, Emilios is so helpful he'll either get it for you or tell you where to find it ... There's too much in here to cover everything, but I'll try ...
