I remember when I first found this drinks haven almost 7 years ago, totally by accident, as I opened the door, ‘Surprised’ was an understatement … it’s sooo cool, because they stock absolutely everything that comes under the label ‘Drink’, boasting around 3000 labels on display. It’s an off-sales, set in a stylish warehouse environment with many labels at lower prices than most bottle shops … and with lots of ideas for a special festive gift …
Variety
But to be honest, at Blind Taste it’s more about the selection … for example, there’s often about 80 different Gins including one of my favourites, the variety of flavours of Whitley Neill Gin, of course, Gordons, but also Pink Gins, Hendricks, Gin Mare, Beefeater, Bombay, Liverpool Gin, Elephant, Bobby’s, Plymouth and Bulldog and the amazing McQueen and the Violet Fog Gin to mention but a few, oh and don’t forget their tasters, Mmmm, all of them!
Quality Cyprus Gins
With Gin being the in-fashion spirit these days at Blind Taste you’ll also find an absolutely fabulous, and I must say ‘remarkable’ Gin made right here, easily one of my favourites, Black Smokers Gin, and it’s very therapeutic! The team that created it; my very good friends, Mixologist Paris Christofides, Herbalist Miranda Tringis and expert distiller Roland WIG and Distilled in Polemi Village in Paphos.
Therapeutic
Apparently, it has anti-cancer and anti-tumor effects and it reduces anxiety, a divine herb indeed! The peppermint and elderflower essence has a cooling and soothing effect on the respiratory and digestive systems. Additionally, these herbs are helpful in colds and catarrh, as well as in digestive upsets. Both also have antibacterial and antiviral properties … Wow!
Tonics & Mixers
Another reason this place is so special is that they stock speciality flavoured Tonics by; Franklin, 3 Cents, and new, the UK’s favourite ‘Fever Tree’ Tonics … but when it comes to cocktail mixing purees you really must check out their selection … especially their new range …

Outback, over 50 Beers from around the world including Belgium, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Cyprus and of course the UK! … just for starters there’s Brewdogg Punk PA, Becks, Old Speckled Hen, Hob Goblin Ruby, Inns & Gunn, Chimnay, Duvel, Salonikia, Waterloo Tripple Blonde, San Miguel, Sol, and my fav Stella Artois and of course Keo, Carlesberg and Leon to mention but a few!… some of these are limited editions!
Vodkas
Over 40 Different Vodkas including Absolute, Smirnoff, Finlandia, Beluga, Stolichnaya, Ciroc, Liverpool Vodka, Nikka, Crystal Head, Royal Dragon, Belvedere, Roberto Cavalli, Russian Standard and of course, a fine selection of Grey Goose, maybe a nice gift, in 3-litre bottles, This year I discovered Belvedere Vodka and Chase Speciality Vodka, trust me; if you’re into vodka, you’ll love them!
That’s the Spirit
There are over 35 Rums, dark, light and speciality. You really must ask for a taster of the Bumbu from Barbados especially the XO, omg! And on that note, for the festive seasons a bottle of the Bumbu Creme is always irresistible … plus a fantastic selection of Cognacs, Bourbons, Liqueurs and Tequilas that will blow your socks off … and several labels and speciality drinks and gifts, you’ll not find anywhere else at these prices.
A Drink with a Kick
Whisky has always been my tipple and there’s over 100 Blended Whisky and Bourbon labels to choose from including, the fabulous range from Johnny Walker, Red Label, Black, Green, Gold and of course Blue .. plus Chivas, Jack Daniels, Tomintoul and over 150 Single Malts including Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich, Dalmore, Lagavulin, Glenlivet my favourite Laphroaig and the delicious Macallan from Scotland.
Wines & Champagnes
Presenting an extensive and enviable selection of Cyprus’ finest, Italy’s best and France’s favourites, Spanish specials, plus Australian classics, and unusual from Argentina. master blends from Greece to mention but a few … Names include the ever-popular Prosecco … Chose white, red, rose, sparkling and speciality wines and of course picking just a few the Moscato Sparkling Wine or Luc Belaire Champagne one of the USA’s top-selling champagnes and the top Rose in the USA and Canella Sparkling Wines made with Prosecco Grapes in Italy, oh and of course Moet & Chandon !!! … I highly recommend the delicious Veuve Cliquot Brut from France, a gift with style.
Retail & Wholesale
Supplying well over 700 commercial clients, from Paralimni to Larnaca, they welcome locals, residents and visitors to the area, with home delivery for party orders all part of the excellent service. So everyone is welcome and they are very happy to invite you in for a tasting and regularly hold tasting events for their clients. Seriously, there’s every drink you can possibly imagine, alcoholic or not … oh, except milk, 😉

I highly recommend a visit, something a touch above the normal bottle shops and off-sales, a new experience in buying drinks, something with a little class. Naturally, you’ll find a few after-dinner specials, one of my favourite finds is the Yachting Royal Cream, it’s smooth with a little kick, 17% by Volume or if you prefer a little Amaretto the Sinfonia is pure nectar!

One of my favourite things about Blind Taste is there’s always a fabulous selection of wines and spirits in beautiful gift boxes … so it’s a perfect place to pick up something a little different for a friend or family.
Nibbles
In true Cypriot traditions, enjoying a nice drink requires some finger food … At Blind Taste they have introduced a selection of Biscuits, Nuts, and Nibbles from Più buono of Italy.
