What's On Cyprus

I was delighted to be invited to catch Bill and Ems, aka Dejavu, playing live at Lithos Bar & Grill in Larnaca.  On that night they were joined by Andreas, their drummer, and as a trio, they go by the name 'Strings Attached'  I really loved this gig so much, especially their covers of Fever, and Hotel California, so I grabbed the chance to ask Bill if we could get together for a chat.

Remember kids you didn’t start it, the Greek Gods did, some 12,600 years ago, right here on this wonderful rock we call Paradise, so as it was the gods who introduced us to the world of a party, I think it’s only right that we show them our gratitude and continue where they left off and show them how to party twenty-first-century style and more importantly, Cyprus Style! …

It's a lovely idea for a truly different day out. What I really like about The Camel Park is it’s diversity, as there’s always something new to see every time you go. With such a lot of animals, there’s often a few babies around including iccle Camels, ranging from as little as 2 weeks old … they are just delightful! You can choose to stroll around at your leisure or there’s guides who offer information in several languages.

Its April, that means summer's well and truly here, with temperatures expecting to surpass the mid 30°s Centigrade ... There's loads happening all over Cyprus, coz Orthodox Easter is on Sunday April 120th so we're expecting it to be a really busy month with Cypriots travelling from all over the world to experience the heritage and culture of Easter in their home country ... check out Tony's preview here ...
