The variety of shopping is endless as art galleries sit neatly next to home décor stores, ethnic art and alternative souvenirs and stalls, stand opposite the dependable chain stores. Whilst the market areas top the lot for traditionalism and atmosphere, right down to the roots.

Landmarks include; The Castle, which will take you back a year or two, the Marina which is a tranquil place to visit, the salt lakes to get a shot of the flamingos and the splendid promenade, aka Finikoudes, skirted by tall palm trees and a deep sandy beach, and a hive of activity day and night.
