Totally Unique
Looking a bit like something out of the Sci-fi film ‘Water World’, the newer, bigger, Dolphin Semi Submarine has recently had a huge refit … now boasting more capacity, but more importantly, 2 huge slides, one each side so you can race your mates and a new diving platform on the top deck, and I love the new water features …
23 Huge Portholes
Join Captain Nicos and the awesome crew for a mini cruise that’s loads of fun for both kids and grown-ups, because The Dolphin Semi Submarine, is the biggest glass bottom aquarium boat in Famagusta area and the only one with 23 huge portholes that look sideways and outwards rather than down onto the sea bed, so you can watch the amazing diving show and the fish feeding show! and visibility is up to about 40 metres on a clear day.
Ghost City
This is an amazing boat trip along the beautiful rugged Protaras coastline towards Famagusta where you can see the infamous eerie Ghost City of Famagusta, empty since 1974, it’s just unexplainable ???, but they’ll try and give you a little insight, in a few languages …
Sea Caves
Then it’s back past Pernera and Protaras, towards the flat top mountain of Cape Greco, cove hopping in and out of little bays and sea caves, starting with the sacred cave at the tiny Agioi Anargyroi church at Konnos Bay, OMG! He gets so close to this cave …
Blue Lagoon
Continuing the cruise towards Lover’s Bridge, pulling in so close to Sharks Mouth Cave and The Pirates Caves, you have to push them off the rocks … and then on towards the sea caves where you’ll have a chance to jump in and explore the caves or just have a refreshing dip in the beautiful Blue Lagoon during the 45 minute swim stop … oh, mind you don’t lose your Captain to the Aphrodite I Cruises here š
Dolphins & Turtles
If you’re lucky there is a chance you’ll see a turtle or two and if we are very lucky weĀ sighted a school of Dolphins at Konnos Bay early season … looks like they’re back, absolutely awesome! btw check out the Dolphin sighting photos and videos from August 2018.
Swim Stop
It’s time for the Divers Show, and Fish Feeding, so get your places, and choose your porthole, down on the bottom deck. Ā Then, the kids and mums and dads will have loads of fun sliding into the crystal clear, warm waters, from the two 10 metre water slides, or if you’re a bit more daring, dive off the diving platform on the top deck, or why not have a go scuba diving with one of the guy’s from resident diving school, ‘Wolf Divers’! …Ā and there’s floating devices and snorkelling equipment available free!
Bar
On the middle deck, the bar serves ice cold drinks and a few snacks in case your peckish … and there’s full facilities on board including toilets downstairs …
Party Time
On the way back, the crew put on a great show, getting the dancing going down by the bar, there’s nothing quite like doing the Margarita on the Dolphin Submarine, and Zorba’s Dance is definitely one for the holiday album, hahahaha!
