At last! here’s a music festival aimed at the over 30’s, tbh its right up my street and I’m a bit over 39 😉 … It’s the ultimate Sun & Soul Holiday, with parties and events by day and night for a week, aimed at the over 30’s in Paphos, Cyprus and England … The mix is Reggae, Soul, Motown, Classic R’n’B, Northern Soul, oh and a bit of Lovers Rock, just up the road from Aphrodite’s Rock, in Kato Paphos and that’s all I’ll need to get me on the dance floor!

I met up with the awesome Tracy and Trevor Bailey from the UK last week at the wonderful Sail at Castle on Pafos Harbour, they make an awesome Cappuccino btw, they told me all about their idea and I have to say I can’t wait for them to get going full swing coz this is totally my thing !!!
Nowhere to go?
Tracy comes outta Norwich, getting single in 2012, snap, she got back into partying all over London, ha I did it in Cyprus, but Tracy was attending my type of parties. Trevor over the last 40 years has been back and forth from UK, Cyprus and Europe, a pro footballer he played both in the UK and Cyprus and now is an Agent and runs the very successful Interwood Football Academy … They met and married in 2014 and noticed there was nowhere to go to listen to their type of music and so Sun & Soul Cyprus was born.
Ultimate Soul Holiday
5th ’til 12th November
This is their biggest event so far … it’s a week long holiday with about 200 Reggae, Motown and Soul freaks travelling from the UK to the week long event in Paphos, aka Pafos, Cyprus, but naturally the more’s the merrier so they want all of us to join in so anyone can go, with tickets on sale at the door for most of the events … and I’ve been sworn to secrecy but you’re in for some awesome surprises …
What a Week
There’s going to be DJ’s from the UK, Caribbean themed Beach Parties, and Pool Parties at The stunning Atalantida Beach Bar with BBQ lunch included, … oh and entrance with food is only €20 … then an awesome trip on the famous Wave Dancer Yacht with on board entertainment and lunch and of course club nights at the stunning Faces Club at The Aliathon, where those flying over from UK will all be staying btw … See Map
Queen of Lovers Rock
Then the truly original Loft Club at the end of nightlife street in the centre of Paphos will be hosting a Great Gatsby Themed Cocktail Party with DJ’s from the UK spinning a mix of Reggae, Classic R’n’B, Soul and Funk and Special Guest the Queen of Lovers Rock ‘Janet Kay’ who’s live on stage with some of her own tracks and a few covers of the worlds classic artists, hope she does Wishing on a Star, coz i was lucky enough to see Rose Royce sing this live and Janet Kay gets as close as you can get! btw its only €10 to get in … See Map
