Early Days
I met Costas way back in 1993; he helped me install the first of many Information Channels at the Capo Bay Hotel in Protaras. Together with his excellent, fully experienced team, they provide a quick and efficient service with qualified technicians for both the commercial and domestic markets.
Second Nature
I asked Costas how it all started. Costas explained, “I suppose it was inevitable, I would follow in my father’s footsteps, as my father, Tassos Rousos’ owned a television manufacturing company in the nearby village of Dherynia, where he actually built black and white televisions on site in his workshop, naturally adding service and repairs as demand required. In fact, he was a pioneer in Cyprus. Like most kids, I’d occasionally watch my dad and help him when needed, and it didn’t take long for me to become fascinated by electronics, and I knew it was my destiny”
Technology
Following his studies in Electronics, he established RC Electronics in 1991. This company have become one of the most respected and, in fact, pioneering companies in the Electronic Technology industry in the Ammohostos region. Specialising in the installation and servicing of CCTV Systems, Alarm Systems, Antennas, TVs, Digital Signage Displays, Media Screens, Wifi, and Fiber to the Room Systems, and of course Central Music Systems.
Pioneers
In fact, they were the first company to install the first digital central DVBT System in Cyprus, followed by being the first to install GPON Fiber Optic System in a hotel, using the Spanish EK Plus acting as their representatives in Cyprus.
Progress
I asked Costas to tell me more about the past 3 decades, “I suppose being in and around this industry since I was a kid has been a blessing, as I was there as each new technology was invented. Of course, I would research and study each new invention as it happened, and now my knowledge is extensive to say the least”
Digital Signage
They are also leaders in both indoor and outdoor Digital Signage and Info Kiosks, helping many of their clients to offer their customers more by visually advertising their menu and services on big screens around their restaurants, hotels, pubs and pharmacies, to mention but a few.
Getting Connected
Having worked with CYTA, the Cypriot equivalent of BT, Costas’ knowledge of electronics and telecommunications is extensive, to say the least. These days it’s more ‘Fiber to Rooms’, installing Fiber Optics, GPON and CATV Systems to every room in your home, or to over 200 rooms in top hotels like Okeanos Hotel, Aktea Hotel, Anesis Hotel, Malama Hotel, to mention but a few.
Antenna & Satellite
Naturally, Costas and his five-man crew, which includes his wife Stavri, who looks after all the administration these days, can also install Antenna for all the local channels and Satellites with distribution to all the rooms in your house for wifi, international channels of your choice, including BBC News, Euro News, CNN, Russian and German channels.
TVs & Accessories
