I was invited by the eminent George Christofi at Harvest Status Cafe Wine bar for a mini-seminar on Fresh Roasted Coffee, imported by Cava Robustos; one of the first companies to bring fresh speciality ground coffee to Cyprus, also owned by George … I wasn’t sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to see quite a crowd attend, many are coffee baristas who wanted to improve their knowledge and coffee making abilities and skills … and I’m already looking forward to the next meeting.
George had invited the amazing Antonis Voukkalis to assist on the seminar, together they are two of the few coffee experts in Cyprus that hold a diploma in coffee. George introduced us to the process of selecting and roasting and making speciality fresh ground coffee, and I must say, I now know much more about coffee. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay for the tasting, aka ‘Cupping’ but over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure to try a few of Georges speciality coffees as Harvest Status is without a doubt, one of my favourites cafes in Cyprus and I highly recommend popping in to try their speciality coffees! oh, btw, their selection of wines and meat, and cheese platters are on the same level 😉 and fortunately, they’re also available from their delicatessen
