2 Decades
Opening a few years ago, it was the name ‘Ding Dong’ that first caught my eye, one you can’t forget quickly. Much as I only live around the corner, and watched as they were getting ready to open, stopping off occasionally to catch up with Homm, the owner. Every time I see him I can’t help thinking ‘Ding Dong I’m Homm’ … In fact, he’s had a replica shop in Athens for over 20 years, and I just have to say, ‘I was absolutely amazed at how much they have in stock for your home, garden and leisure time!’ …
Why Cyprus?
I often pop in to pick up one thing or another, and I recently had a good look around before I had a chat with ‘Amingo’, the manager, who speaks Greek, with a Chinese accent, and there’s me with my Gringlish. We decided there’s far too much here to include in one article, so we agreed it’s best to split it into departments. When I asked Homm Why Cyprus? He said, “I came for the first time 5 years ago, I liked Cyprus, the sea, the sun, and most of all the people”.
Massive Selection
I said to Homm; ‘I like the idea’ and he responded with a smile, “It saves driving to Larnaca!” … I asked how they can keep everything so low cost, and he responded, “We already buy lots of stock for our shop in Greece, and now for here as well” … so with literally thousands of different items on two floors, here’s a quick peek …

As you walk in, to the left is the Technology Corner. I picked up a phone case for under a tenner, but there’s everything for your phone, including Chargers, USB Sockets, Screens, Headphones, Speakers, Cables, Cases, TV Wall Mounts, Remote Controls, Cameras, and loads more …
Essentials
There’s a selection of Ladies’ Makeup & Cosmetics, Clothing & Underwear, plus Hair Dryers, Hair Trimmers, and Clippers … Hair Ribbons, Brushes, and Hair-ties galore, and a section of Habidasheries including Knitting Wool, Dried Flowers, Handbags, Luggage, Holdalls, and some really cool little boxes.
In the Bedroom
There’s literally hundreds of Curtains, Nets, Rails and Ties, Blankets and Throws, Linen, Quilt Covers, Pillows, Cushions and Cushion Covers, Coat Hangers, Lighting, Ornaments, and some tidy little boxes …

Upstairs, Stelios will show you around, you’ll find a selection of Camping Equipment, Clothing, Fishing Rods, Keep Nets and Landing Nets, Reels, Spear Guns, Lines, and all the accessories … Even a cool selection of ground baits and hook baits …
Aladdins Cave
All in all, this place is an amazing addition to the Famagusta area, it’s an Aladdin’s Cave of everything you’ll need for your home and garden, school, beach and lots, lots more … and if nothing else, it saves a trip to Larnaca …
