I love finding new ideas, especially when it comes to the festive season and even more so when it’s something for both the kids and grown-ups, so when I heard about this Family Halloween Party, I just had to find out more … Coz, it looks like it’s going to be a fabulous event, so …
Forever
I called to have a chat with the fabulous Zee and asked her to tell me more … Zee said, “I love hosting parties, and as usual I probably went too big. The idea was to throw an amazing Halloween Party for my kids, their friends, brothers, sisters and their parents, and even grandparents, and when the numbers got towards 100, I realised that there’s a lot of parents looking for things to do for Halloween, so we asked the amazing Antonis Elia if we could host it at Antelia Bee Park in Dasaki Achna. And we’re going to make it an international event that all our kids will remember forever”.
Tailored for The Kids
I asked Zee to tell me more; she said, “It’s going to be an afternoon and evening packed with mind-boggling magic, side-splitting comedy, and enchanting family fun” … “We’ve tailored it perfectly for kids aged 2 to 12, but we’re making it a bewitching experience for the whole family”.
The Bee Park
I was curious, so I asked Zee, ‘Why the Bee Park? ‘… She said, “Antonis has passionately created a huge outdoor space, 25,000 sq metres, with untouched nature, a huge kids’ playground with swings, climbing frames and slides; we’re adding a huge ‘Bouncy Castle for the day, and everything is enclosed, so it’s very safe for the kids to run around, explore and be free.
Nothing Like It
Antelia Bee Park is a unique attraction that combines nature, education and relaxation. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and greenery, the park offers visitors the opportunity to discover the fascinating world of bees and learn about their importance to the environment … I was amazed when I found out 1 Beehive produces an average of 30Kg of honey a year. I had to agree, ‘Where would we bee without them?’
Halloween Programme
We discussed the plans for the day … Zee said, “We’ll start at 3 pm with a supervised arts and crafts workshop, with all materials provided for the kids to create some Halloween art … There will be 2 workshops, keeping the limit to only 15 kids so that they can get more 1-to-1 attention, so reservations are essential, so book early if you want to take part”
Fun & Laughs
At 4 pm there will be a Comedy Magic Show with everyone’s favourite Mr. Hristo the Clown … I love the way he gets crowd interplay with both the kids and their mums and dads.
Dressing Up
At 5.30 pm We’ll have the Best Halloween Costume Competition, where you’ll have the chance to strut the catwalk to show off your costume with 6 separate categories, including The Cutest and the Most Imaginative, to mention just a couple, with a gold medal for the winner.
Trick or Treat
Then at 6 pm we’ll give the kids a chance to go ‘Trick or Treating’ … We’ve set out 2 Buildings with 4 Doors, where they can ring a spooky doorbell and get a treat … sounds like fun …
Dance Off
The DJ will be spinning happy party tunes all day, and for the highlight to finish off, we’re going to have a ‘Dance Off’ to see who’s the best dancer of the day … Loving the idea of the two smoke machines for the spooky dancers, I also heard there’ll be a Fashion Show, but I’m not sure where this’ll fit into this busy day …
Snacks & Munchies
Around the event, there will be lots happening and, of course, refreshment tents, serving coffee, soft drinks, wines, spirits and beers, with street food stalls. You can even book a Sit-Down Dinner in advance with things like pork chops, roast chicken, witches stew, and Louvi, but this needs to be pre-ordered in advance up til Wednesday 28th … and on the day, burgers, chicken nuggets, and my favourite, Makaronia tou Fourno.
Entry
It’s only €10 per attendee, with children under 2 years old, going free … Entrance includes: Bouncy Castle and Playground, Scrary-Creepy Photo Spots, DJ Music and Fun Atmosphere, Trick or Treats candy and more … oh, and by the way, you’ll find some fabulous gifts and souvenirs for sale, including of course pure honey, organic olive oil, jams, wax ointments, herbs, extracts and essential oils and much more …
