… so as we say a huge goodbye to the teens, we gotta give a big warm welcome to the 'Twenteens' 😉 Ha! Getting old is old stuff lol ... and naturally we wish you a healthy and prosperous start to the new decade, I wonder where it's gonna take us?

Over a delicious Illy coffee, I asked Charbel how it all started; he said, "In the past, I was an HR Operations Manager in the F&B Sector ... Romance in the air I thought January was never gonna end, coz you just have to love February in Cyprus!  Firstly coz it's the start of spring, on the island of Aphrodite, our Goddess of Love and naturally there's romance in the air, everywhere, especially on the 14th when we celebrate Valentine’s Day, which this year falls on a Saturday so you might as well make love all weekend! ... and I can't help laughing watching the postman struggle to get all my cards in the little letterbox. Oh, and btw, the following weekend it's carnival season, so get ready for carnival processions all over Cyprus and of course Green Monday ...

It's July, my favourite month ... mainly because its my birthday on the 27th, any excuse for a BBQ, not that we need one...

I was cooking Chicken Sweet & Sour and would normally add some slices of fresh pineapple to enhance the sauce, but all I had was honeydew melon, so I thought I'd try it ... and it was so good, I just had to share it with you, because this is gonna first confuse, then excite those taste buds.

It's all sort of lean-to-Tikki-style shack on the beach, all wood and lots of bamboo ... out front the aroma of freshly watered lush green grass lawns, a beach volleyball court, and outdoor seaview massage booths.  A gorgeous spacious veranda, covered with bamboo, creates delightful shaded patterns to enjoy your stay, with stunning sea views over Pernera Bay.  I love stuff like; Speis' handmade crisps shelf and the colourful signage on the wooden rails that run down the side of the cafe ... It's a really cool beachside cafe ...
