It’s November
My favourite month … mainly because a long, hard summer season is over and we get a chance to strike up a few bbq’s with friends, many that we haven’t seen for the past seven months … we’re all just too busy … It’s been a hectic season, to say the least, launching the App has rejuvenated my passion for this amazing island and I’m loving it … and coz it’s stormy season … remember we’ve not seen rain since May …
Festive Season
It’s also the season for festivals and exhibitions, and summer closing parties and winter opening parties and anyone who says Cyprus is dead should take a look around … Sure, it’s quieter than the summer, and many places are closed, some already starting renovations for next season, but there’s events and things to do everywhere.
All Year
I wish this Country would look at ways to enhance our winter season because we still have the best weather in Europe and in December we can swim in the sea in the morning and ski in The Troodos Mountains in the afternoon … Heaven, well, almost!
Spooky
November kicks off with everyone recovering from Halloween parties all over Cyprus … getting more popular every year btw … Our Cover Girl, the amazingly talented ‘Gabi Junos’ who is about to launch her new art collection, Fashion Art is the design, create and hand-painted apparel to be launched in early November; I’ll be catching up with her later this month.
Jazzy
The wonderful Sarah Fenwick is performing at Library’s Live Jazz Wednesdays on the 4th November in Limassol … or in the hub of Cyprus, Joseph’s Acoustic Session is back at Savino Live in Larnaca on the same night … On Friday 6th, Elixir Bar in Limassol will be proudly presenting the international award-winning bartender Mr. Gegam Kazarian, who’ll be pushing the boundaries, combining his wide gastronomical knowledge with his mixology.
Book Fair
Then a book lovers’ favourite on the 7th and 8th November, Moufflon Book Fair at the Arte Music Academy, Anastasia Leventi Street, Nicosia, offering out-of-print, unique and rare publications …
Fancy A Glass
OMG ! and it’s Wine Month … so from the 11th ’til the 30th of November The Cyprus Wineries Association organises seminars, excursions and wine tasting and of course it’ll give you an excuse to say it’s not too early for your first glass 😉 … and just in case you’re not in the know, Cyprus boasts some of the worlds finest wines, so you’re all in for a treat …
All Greek
On 12th, 13th and 14th November, three concerts in Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca respectively are the coming together of three popular Greek singers, Dionysis Tsaknis, Giannis Miliokas and Nikos Ziogalas … their shows are regarded as one of the greatest successes in the past couple of years …
Rialto
Ed Sheeran’s Jumpers for Goalposts film will be shown as part of a global cinema event on 15th November, exclusively at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol …
Dog Walk

Challenge
The Cyprus International 4 Day Challenge is in Paphos from 26th to 29th November … is a series of running events over 4 days taking in Hill Runs, a multi-terrain half marathon and 10k Paphos City Run …
Winter
It’s the start of winter, so many of our clubs swing towards the Greek market and the eating out scene goes right through to Christmas … and many local communities all over Cyprus put on Bingo Nights . Quiz Nights . Live Music and events . Car boot sales . Christmas Bazaars and, well, you name it … remember that this rock isn’t very big, so you can jump in the car and go touring …
Flamingos
btw, Kafenio is staying open all winter in the centre of Napa, promising many surprises … and of course winter wouldn’t be the same without popping down to Larnaca’s Salt Lakes to catch the awesome photo opportunities with the Flamingos, and don’t worry they’ll be here ’til spring …
Back Together
Naturally, if you’re not in Cyprus, you’ll want to get to one of the reunions happening all over Europe, especially in the UK, Israel and Russia … and I just got to say well done, you lot, it’s good to see someone promoting Cyprus offshore…
