Di Capilla Seaside Events, Pernera, Protaras
Raphaelle continued, "We are privileged to be able to offer our couples the opportunity to host a truly unforgettable seaside wedding ceremony in collaboration with Paralimni Municipality on the stunning 'Poseidon Deck', immediately in front of the restaurant. So the wedding couple can exchange their vows, on this stunning coastline, just a few metres from the sea" ... she added, "then you can continue your day with an intimate, beautifully hosted dining experience, making memories that'll last forever!"
Ed’s Note August 2026
Remember kids you didn’t start it, the Greek Gods did, some 12,600 years ago, right here on this wonderful rock we call Paradise, so as it was the gods who introduced us to the world of a party, I think it’s only right that we show them our gratitude and continue where they left off and show them how to party twenty-first-century style and more importantly, Cyprus Style! …

Topping the tan is easy in September coz Its going to be up there around the 35°C mark and that's in the shade, so it'll be over 40°C in direct sun, so please take care, sit in the shade for a bit and use a good sun protection and after-sun protection is just as important .... My Pet Groom at Pet Galaxy, Paralimni
New Era starts as the latest member to join this ever-growing team as the company's resident groomer is Maria Modestou, so I booked Bandit in for a shampoo and trim so that I could have a quick chat ... I asked Maria how she got into pet grooming. She said, "I was born and raised in Xylophagou and grew up with lots of dogs in the family. I love dogs, and decided to learn how to groom them properly to start my own business" ...
Ed’s Note July 2026
I love July, and you all know it's really my favourite month, partly coz it’s my birthday on the 27th and that means I’ve made it another year, and I’ll probably be throwing a party! The main reason, of course, is it’s peak season, with temperatures in the shade in the high ’30s and it’s getting hotter through 'til August … 'bring it on', I say, we love it hot, that’s why we live here … Mmm, Don’t you just love Cyprus? ... Nissi Bay Beach Bar & Restaurant, Ayia Napa
There are loads of beach bars in Cyprus, and then there’s Nissi Bay Beach Bar … it's the kind of place that instantly reminds you why Ayia Napa became one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic summer destinations back in the early 90’s. Sitting directly opposite the Nissi, aka the island, on the white sands of Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa, this legendary hotspot blends tropical beach-club energy with unmistakable Cypriot summer madness. And honestly, the moment I first stepped onto the sand with a cocktail in my hand and the bassline from the DJ booth rolling across the bay, I understood exactly why this place is so unique.

Ed’s Note June 2026
So, summer has officially arrived, and if you've been waiting for perfect beach weather, this is it. Across Cyprus, June typically brings long sunny days, and on that note, the summer solstice falls on Sunday 21st at 11.24 am ... then there's the blue skies, and we had so much rain this winter it's almost definitely not gonna rain. Coastal temperatures usually range between 30°C and 35°C, in the shade, that's 90° F to 100° F in English, while inland areas such as Nicosia will climb even higher. So if you're gonna Get a Tan, be careful and please follow my tips.
Ammochostos Motor Museum, Ayia Napa
I wanted to have a chat before Andreas gave me a personal tour of the museum, so we met upstairs in the cafe and ice cream parlour, my delicious cappuccino brewed with 'Vittorio Coffee' pure Arabica from Brazil. I asked Andreas to tell me how it all started? He said, "It started as a hobby, I would find old cars, in Cyprus, mostly Fords, buy them and restore them myself, to showroom perfection, sometimes having to source spare parts from all over the world. Then he said, " Next thing you know, whenever my friends were selling a vintage or classic car, I would buy it".
Kalamies Beach Restaurant & Bar, Pernera
Over a delicious coffee, and my little chat with head Chef and partner Maria, it became blatantly obvious why this restaurant has won the 'Best Fish Restaurant' in the 'Time Out' and 'Check In Cyprus' Eating Out Awards three times in the past decade ... Probably because Maria has this uncanny knack to recognise flavours that complement each other ... Seriously, this lady is on another level !!!
