Dragon Boat, Tug of War Competition

Thinking of something to do this coming Sunday 26 November ? then look no further as Begafigo Dragon Boat Club are hosting a Tug of War Competition at Trinity Beach, Ayia Triada, Paralimni.  It’s a 10 am start so make sure you’re up early and ready to paddle !

How it’ll work
Firstly I have to say this is a cool idea, btw, it also takes place yearly in Limassol, so to see it down in Kapparis, Paralimni is well cool, so just have to give a big shout out to Chris Parry for arranging it … btw, he’s a Guinness Book of World Records holder!  They’re hoping to get enough teams to make at least two leagues, so you’ll all get at least a 3 or 4 matches … You don’t need a boat, It’s one vs one …. or 4 vs 4 in one boat, facing each other, you have to paddle like you’ve never paddled before … there’s a mid way marker, the strongest team will be the one who drags their opponents rear end past the mid way marker or whoever is the closest to that after one minute … only one minute? That sounds easy … hahahahahaha !

Entry Fee is only €20 per team of 4, so round up a few mates who’ve got a spare fiver and get yourselves down there and maybe win some money as well as having a bit of fun, oh and help them develop the sailing club ! … like I said its a cool idea !!!, oh btw, who said there was nothing to do in the winter ???

Practice sessions
Scheduled for this Saturday 25th November between 2 pm and 4 pm at Trinity Beach in Ayia Triada, Paralimni and if all goes well we’ll do it again in April 2018 …
