I recently met with Rob over a cup of coffee, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed, his business is truly one-of-a-kind in Cyprus. Centrally located in Limassol, it stands as the leading mobile leather and vinyl restoration and repair company in Cyprus. History
I asked how it all started? Rob shared; “I owned a South African construction business, which I sold to a corporation, before deciding to move to my father’s birthplace ‘Cyprus’ and escape the increasing hostilities in South Africa. My wife, Lynda, and I were able to secure Cypriot Nationality”.
Research
Rob continued; “After conducting extensive research, we came across ‘Color Glo International’ which is one of the top 500 franchise companies in the world. We realised that there was a lot of potential in Cyprus as no company provided a service for repairing and restoring leather assets other than having them recovered with new materials. By restoring, repairing, and re-dyeing we would save our customers a lot of money”.

Rob then explained how they secured this Franchise … “We met with Color Glo teams from South Africa, UK, and Greece and visited the Color Glo Athens franchise before securing the Color Glo Franchise in Limassol. Limassol is the fastest-growing industrial area in Cyprus and also houses the Marina, which represents a significant portion of our potential market.”

Color Glo International’s head office is based in the USA and has been the international market leader since 1975. Their team in Limassol consists of four internationally trained and qualified technicians. The team spent an additional period of training at the Color Glo Hellas facility in Athens.

Color Glo use a dye that is sprayed on ensuring a quality finish. Their technicians are colour “masters” capable of mixing colour to match the existing one or changing colour according to the client’s preferences. Color Glo’s range includes a conditioner to give the leather a soft feel and a patented protective coating known as Age-Stop that prevents dirt and liquids from staining the finished product.

We are now looking forward to expanding on work already established in the Limassol Marina.”
