Who You Know
You know, when you find someone who turns out to be invaluable to you on many occasions, then you know you have found a true friend. Christos and I have known each other for around 30 years, in fact, we were once neighbours. One thing’s for sure when it comes to car sales, servicing and advice he’s really hard to beat. Oh, and when you see the cars he’s got for sale on his forecourt you’ll be in for a lovely surprise! … So I grabbed the opportunity to have a chat with Christos about how it all started …
Help & Advise
To explain; Christos has been helping me in my search for a car, advising me on what not to buy, what to avoid, and what to look for. Finally deciding to try and fix or replace a gearbox on my loaned car, along with a few more things we discovered, and the outcome I hope will be the right decision. I must just say, that Christos, Larisa, and the two top mechanics, Marios and Nicos, both fully qualified, are just first-class professionals, through and through!
Rally Cars
So I asked Christos, How did it all start?; He said “Cars have always been in my blood I used to finish school and go home and fix cars … Like many boys, I wanted to be a Rally Driver, behind the wheel. By the age 16 I’d built my first rally car and started entering races. I asked what was your first car?, amazingly he said, “It was a low-weight 800kg, Ford Escort Mk 1”, omg! just one of my favourite cars ever!
Car Modification
Then I had to serve 2 years National Service, so I worked in a garage in Nicosia, studied and attended college, and secured my first diploma in Car Modification and found myself very busy as my reputation spread quickly. Christos continued; When I moved to Napa in 1989, my brother Andreas then of Force Car Hire fame, now of The Drivers Rentals, was renting out cars, so I opened my first workshop in Napa and had a steady stream of work, not just mechanics and servicing but bodywork and some modifications.
New Site
Christos continued; In 2012, we moved to this site, it was bigger with lots of outdoor space, a big workshop with room for 4 cars with two hydraulic ramps, so we had room to do everything we wanted to, and even to boats. Offering everything from an Oil and Filter Change, to Full Servicing, Carbon Cleaning Station, Manufacturers Service, Upgrades, Gas Station Servicing, Professional Air Con Service Repair and Sales, Full Tyre Services, and Full Modification to Cars, Vans, Motorbikes, and even Boats and Mobile Homes.
Mod Cons
Their equipment includes Bosh Diagnostics, TopDon Diagnostics, they are also Cyprus Agents for Remar of Germany, CompAir of Germany and SAI of Italy, providing AirCon Sales, Service & Recondition to factory standards, Air Compressor Seal & Repair, Computer Upgrading and Reprogramming, and Christos has an extensive circle of friends and associates in the mechanical, electrical and service industry, so if he hasn’t got it he knows a man that has, and he can source parts for any model of car or boat Internationally … For More info Check out their Website
Cars for Sale
The place looks really impressive from the front, so I asked Christos to tell me about the Sales Forecourt?, Christos said I started importing cars in 1999, mainly from Japan and England. This is where this guy excels, on the forecourt you’ll also find a gorgeous 1962 Dodge Challenger 6.2 Ltr for 35 grand … or maybe the Oldsmobile Starfire 394 for 32K … I just love the Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Edition at 35K … But my absolute favourite has to be the Jaguar XJ 5.3 Fuel Injection or my dream car the Tesla Model 3 for a cool 55K … I went for a Test Drive
Car & Bike Rentals
I asked Christos if he still works closely with his brother, he said; “Andreas also arranges the car rentals side of the business, but he also books sightseeing tours, excursions, day trips, boat charters and fishing trips”. I just love their boat ‘Nauti Girl’, the Bavaria 36ft Cruiser, accommodating up to 8 people overnight and available for private charters with a crew. They’ll take you for a mini cruise along the coast of Ayia Napa and Protaras, to see the Erie City of Famagusta or to Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos, or even the Greek Islands … for more info check out their Facebook Page
Fishing Trips
Christos and the crew also provide professional Open Sea Fishing on board the 7 metre Pro Jeanneau made in France … Sailing at 5.30 am with the latest Pro Fishing Equipment provided to help you catch that Tuna for lunch, their record to date is 7 metres … Wow! … that must have been some catch!
