Over 30 Years
I’ve known Captain Andreas since 1987, aka Kotzinis to his friends, coz of his red hair, he is without doubt one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, greeting every guest with pleasure aboard his newly refurbished beautiful boat.  His father was the last guy to man the lighthouse at Cape Greco, so he knows the area very well.  His captaincy is exemplary, with over 38 years’ experience at the helm, he glides his boat along this stunning coastline like no other! … I recently caught up with the gorgeous Victoria to find out What’s On this season …

The Boat
Immaculately kept, up on the top deck, it’s the place to relax in the shade under the new canopy or top up the tan, and it’s up here you can dive off the highest platform at one of their swim stops.  On the lower deck, it’s the shaded area offering a little relief from the heat.  There’s also a fully stocked bar serving all your favourite drinks, fresh juices, sandwiches, hot dogs, and ice creams.  Down on the lower deck you’ll find the toilets as usual.

With a Passion
Captain Andreas passionately narrates the cruise in English, and they provide their guide via multilingual brochures, including Greek, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, and Russian … Brilliant! … Check out the Route Map here … please note trips may vary a little, subject to weather conditions.

Morning & Afternoon Cruises
Captain Andreas told me, “We’ll take you along the rugged coastline for a 2-hour 45-minute mini cruise.  First, we’ll go over towards the UN buffer zone so that you can get a really cool view of the Ghost City of Famagusta, where I’ll tell you about the history of what happened and why this stretch of coast is still empty after over 52 years”.

For Lovers
Andreas continued, “Then it’s out to open sea for a leisurely cruise to Konnos Bay, the most idyllic beach in Cyprus, gliding in and out of every cove towards Cape Greco, getting so close to the rocks at Pirates Cave you can literally touch the rocks and help push the boat off when we leave”.  It’s great fun here watching all the crazy rock jumpers”.  Andreas continued, “Then, we’ll sail our Aphrodite 1, almost bumping into Lovers Bridge, where you’ll feel the love, it’s definitely a cool backdrop for a selfie or maybe even a perfect moment to propose?”

Two Swim Stops
Victoria added, “During the cruise, you can enjoy two swim stops, about 30 minutes each, the first at the world famous Blue Lagoon, with its crystal clear, aqua-blue sea, and you’ll have the chance to do a little snorkelling, with equipment available to buy on board.  Flotation devices are also available, and there’s a lower platform to dive off the back of the boat, and steps, or dive from the Top Deck if you’re brave enough? … or just grab this chance to top up the tan sipping a cocktail or two”!

Turtle Cove
I asked Victoria to tell me more, she said “The second swim stop is at the idyllic Turtle Cove at Konnos Bay, a fabulous place to do a little snorkelling and if you’re lucky, you’ll swim with the Turtles” … I’ll just add, there’s no jumping here, no touching or feeding the turtles, but it’s an experience I’ll never forget … btw, it’s not unheard of to spot a few Dolphins

Sunset Trip
One of my favourites, sailing late afternoon from Protaras Pier, to the left of Protaras Bay, it’s 3 hours of pure delight, heading off towards Ayia Napa, skipping in and out of the stunning bays.  The Cruise, glides along the rugged coastline of South East Cyprus.  On the way, you’ll have an amazing evening listening to music from the 70’s to the 20’s.  Enjoy a little dancing or Sunset Swimming in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea at Blue Lagoon and watching Stunning Sunsets from their decks … Mmm!

Funk It Up!
Introducing a new idea to the cruise this August, on Saturday Nights they’ll have a live DJ, playing a mix of 80’s & 90’s hit tunes to dance to ’til the sun sets and the twinkling lights come on along the coast …

Private Charters
Captain Andreas and the crew welcome inquiries for private charters for Wedding Parties, birthday parties and private party cruises, including stag dos, hen parties and even team-building days! … More
