Just a little over 5 kms out of Polis, on the scenic coastal road to the beautiful village of Argaka, is probably my fav Country Pub in Cyprus. I watched as Yiannis and his family built this place back in 2005. Over a decade later it’s matured into a wonderful retreat from the maddening crowds and it’s still one of my favourite places in the world to watch the sunset …
Country Style
This pub looks just like a country pub should, it’s all beer garden out front, with wooden decking and terraces and huge umbrellas and sails and crimson flowers … Blackboards everywhere and stuff on the ceiling and the big bi plane, now a land mark in itself, and comfy seating inside or outside on the wooden decking. There’s 5 big TV Screens for all the footie and live sports … Pool Tables with regular competitions, Darts, Quizzes and Bingo Nights and DJ’s and Live Entertainment every Friday … and really friendly, attentive crew that’ll make you feel at home.
Behind The Bar
There’s 16 different beers on draught including, Guinness, Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale, Caffrey’s Irish Ale, Newcastle Brown, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Kopparberg Strawberry & Lime Cider and Magner’s Cider … plus a massive selection of local and imported wines and spirits … and a professional Cocktail Mixologist who’ll blend your fav with a little finesse and the occasional cocktail show, and they serve across the zebra crossing, to the romantics sitting under the tall palm trees with their toes in the sand 😉
Happy Hours
I love to stop off here for afternoon coffee and cake just to watch the sunset … But might as well go early coz everyday there’s Happy Hours between 3 pm and 6 pm with a selection of speciality cocktails available with a buy one get one free offer …
International Menu
It’s truly International with choices from around the world. Everything from a Full English Breakfast served from 9 am ’til 2 pm … Brunch is awesome coz you name it they’ll grill it ! The Pizzas are home made to an authentic Italian Recipe and cooked to perfection in the Pizza Oven. The Burgers Home Made with 100 % Beef, there’s Chicken, Lamb or Fish Dishes. Fantastic Chinese Cuisine and Tantalising Fajitas made fresh to order and as the chef’s are from India just wait till you try the speciality Indian dishes.
Take Away
My faves have to be the Stuffed Potato Skins, The Philly Cheese Steak Burger … The Indian cuisine or one of their Platters for 2, and Daily Roast Beef to die for served with all the trimmings of course … oh, and if you don’t have time to stop a Take Away Service is available.
Kids Club
Fly Again is a family and pet friendly pub. There’s a kids play area and a fully air conditioned Kids Club for children age 3 to 12 with a Professional Child Minder, who’s also multilingual and a talented artist and will teach the kids a little art and crafts …
Market Days
On the Second Saturday of each month, the Brilliant Argaka Farmers and Crafts Market is held here! There’s nothing quite like a little bartering to pick up a bargain !
