Moving this year to a bigger and better premises up by Magic Dancing Waters, ‘Flouris’ the owner of Olympus Restaurant is a happy chappy, I know how long he’s been looking.   I met Flouris in his early days at Good Fortune Restaurant in Ayia Napa.  Now in a prime position at the top of the strip in Protaras, son Andreas has joined the family business and together they make an awesome team, bringing you that traditional Cypriot hospitality that made Cyprus famous … putting first class customer service as their number one priority !

Truly an international menu but with a bias towards traditional Cypriot and Mediterranean Cuisine.  One of their many specialities is Meze … choose a Fish Meze and you’ll get fresh fish of the day, grilled King Prawns, Whitebait, Sea Bass or Sea Bream, Octopus, Mussels, fresh Baby Calamari, Sword Fish, Salmon all served with potatoes, fresh salads and dips …

Choose Meat Meze and you’ll start with salads and dips and fresh bread and then its a slow trickle of traditional Afelia, Tavvas, Stifado, Dolmades, Koftes, Pastichio, followed by Lamb chops, Pork Cutlets, Pork Kebabs, Chicken kebab, Sheftalia, Loukanika, and the occasional surprise …

Steak Specialities
You’ll enjoy one of the best Steaks in town here … delicious Steaks cooked to perfection … my fav here has to be the Pepper Steak or for something different just try the Duck a’la Orange … just wait ’til you taste the Suckling Pig, and the Kleftico a family speciality to die for!

Flouris loves his fish so you’ll always find a lovely selection of sea food here including Live Lobster … if you’re both into sea food go for one of their Fish Platters for two, trust me you’ll love it !!!

The littl’uns have their own menu with all their favourites or just ask them to down size any dish, kids also get free ice cream here and there’s a play area so you can get a little peace and quiet to sip one of their fantastic wines from a huge Cava …

Now these take the biscuit, all home made.  I just love the Strawberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Baklava and anything these excellent chef’s decide to create today … Oh and if you mention What’s On Cyprus you’ll be offered a free after dinner drink to end your meal.

There’s plenty of space, welcoming inquiries for private parties and special events, and they’ll really make your day, Dressing the place accordingly, they are excellent hosts and accepting all credit cards, speaking several languages …

Going for years
There’s so many choices, I’ll just say you’re bound to find something to suit your taste but equally a traditional Cypriot hospitality that will definitely make you want to return, so you can try something else 😉
