Remarkable
I recently caught up with my very good friend and as it happens ex-boss, Andreas Demetriou of DJS Professional, Sound, Light & Automation in Paralimni … I always take great interest on where he’s been working because without a doubt, this is one of those awesome guys, ‘behind the scenes’ …
Perfectionist
He installs probably the best sound, light and automation equipment money can buy and to say he’s a perfectionist is an understatement … btw, you’ve probably been listening to his sound equipment and looking admiringly at his architectural lighting designs without even realising it! Because, his work is evident in many restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels, nightclubs, retail outlets, boat cruises and private homes from Paralimni to Paphos and everywhere in between … Click here to check out his Portfolio
Important
I had the pleasure to work with Andreas as his marketing and business development manager for around two years attending many installations around Cyprus. Whilst there I watched and learnt a lot about the hospitality industry and just how important quality sound and light really is to any business premises! I just have to say; this guy has an amazing concept of light & sound! In fact I’ve never met anyone quite like him!
Topical
Over a coffee Andreas was telling me he’s finally got all three of his son’s in the team, making it truly a family business and that they have recently finished a light and sound installation at the wonderful Seasons Café Bar on the start of Nissi Avenue in Ayia Napa, following their installation of the architectural lighting on the Seasons Hotel adjacent. You can’t miss it if you’re on the traffic lights at the start of Nissi Avenue after sunset … and just in case you’d like to book a stay at their hotel here’s a link to their website
Design
Andreas first created the design of the RGB Colour changing exterior architectural lighting on the hotel, then installed them, with the colour changing programming. I managed to nick some photos of the hotel and cafe from Andreas and thought I’d share them with you.
Discrete
I love the way they’ve continued the theme in the cafe, from the hotel’s custom made RGB colour changing exterior lighting, installed a couple of years ago. For this installation he chose ‘Cameo’ Lighting to change the ambience all night and I particularly love the linear strip lighting on the cafe’s ceiling, blended with the discrete lighting around the bar and btw, the ‘Ecler Audio sound system was chosen for the cafe and it’s sweet music to your ears … Perfect!
