I love finding these little places that are a little bit different … Safira Coffee House is exactly that! … Nestled on the main road, almost on the zebra crossing from Likio School, Safira has become a retreat of comfort and tranquility, for locals and visitors alike. This little hidden gem has quickly gained a reputation for its warm ambiance, exceptional service, and, of course, its delightful selection of coffees and snacks to dine in, takeaway, or get home delivery.
Aromas
I was invited to catch up with the wonderful Gioula, and as always my choice was a cappuccino and it was perfect! … Outside a gorgeous little terrace, a few tables, sheltered by 5 mini palms. As you step through the doors you’re immediately greeted by the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed 100% Arabica coffee by Utopia … and, all coffees are available in decaf too … It’s a traditional Cypriot Cafe so naturally they also serve Cyprus coffee
Nature
The interior is tastefully decorated, blending rustic elements with modern touches, lots of nature and plant life, framed mirrors, and a really cool display of coffee cups, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Scattered sofas and comfy seating run all the way through to the little beer garden out back again with lots of green, it’s a delightful setting, to say the least …
Yia Yia
So I asked Gioula why Safira?, How did it all start? … She explained; “I’ve always wanted my own cafe. When we found this place in 2020 I just had to give it a go. Safira is my Yia Yia’s name and I’m using many of her recipes, so, I named it in her honor, she also loved plants too so we’ve added more than a few to make the place really feel like home”.

There’s nothing like a hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day made with real milk chocolate with 0% Sugar, but just wait til you try their Cold Chocolate Project in the summer … Mmm! … btw, they’ll serve them with Bueno or white chocolate too or mix them up mmm!.

Gioula mixes an awesome smoothie, choose from 4 flavours … I love the Tropical and the Forest Fruits but the Green is different and absolutely delicious blended with Mango, Banana, and Lemon Grass … You really must try the really healthy Japanese Bio Matcha … and a must on a hot day The Granitas, crushed ice with tantalizing flavours …
Breakfast & Munchies
Fast becoming many people’s favourite snack stop … Once you try this place you’ll understand why … Naturally, as they are up early serving coffee for breakfast, expect to find a ‘Full English Breakfast, 2 Eggs on toast, 2 slices bacon, 2 pork sausages, and baked beans … alternatively a Traditional Cypriot Breakfast and also a Vegetarian Breakfast … you’ll also find all the traditional Sanshiches from Lountza, and Halloumi to Chicken or Tuna … The Burgers are 100% Beef, served with chips and salad … The Club Sandwich with Chips is really filling and The Chicken in Pitta Bread is absolutely delicious …

I love the mini-sandwiches, choose Turkey & Cheese or Ham & Cheese and switch it to Pitta bread if you want … btw, they make one of the best Caesar Salads I’ve tasted …

They have a selection of homemade traditional pastries but just wait til you try their Pancakes … the Safira, and the Perfect Pancake, with Phillidelphia Cheese, Bacon, and special Syrup are the top sellers but I love The Red Fruits Pancake … Mmm
