3 Decades
It’s been over 27 years since my very good friend Leo opened New Horizon Pub. These days Leo’s son Stephanos is at the helm, supported by his righthand man ‘Yiotis’, who has been with him for 21 years, and it just seems to be getting better and better! It’s an old English style bar, with lots of polished wood, high stools along the bar, out front on the partly covered terrace, a gorgeous beer garden and everywhere you look things hanging on the walls and btw, it’s a family pub so children are more than welcome! …
Live Sports
There’s 12 huge ‘State of the Art’ TV screens showing all the Premier League, Scottish Premier League, Champions League, EFL and of course all the Rugby, Athletics, Golf, and other live sports events with English commentary. Stephanos often shows a few different sports at the same time, so whether you like football, rugby, F1, Moto GP, boxing, tennis, cricket or rounders, you’re bound to find it on here … if not all you have to do is ask and he’ll find it!
Menu
To be honest, these days, this place is more of a Gastro Pub with an absolutely fabulous menu. Opening every day at 10 am for a Full English Breakfast. Then all day, they serve Gastro Pub Food, that’s definitely not just ‘pub grub’, in fact absolutely everything is cooked fresh to order and I have to say I love the selection, even the Homemade Thick ‘n Juicy Burgers are to die for … my favourite the ‘Grand Canyon’ … For their Full Menu click here.
Finger Licking Good
Some of my favourites over the years include; The Combo Platters for two or more, with Chicken Wings, Chicken Fingers, Tempura Prawns, Spring Rolls, Samosas, Onion Rings, Breaded Mushrooms, Potato Wedges and 3 Dips … Finger Licking Good. If you like a Pork Chop, their’s are a huge 750 gsm. My absolute favourite here has to be the Black Angus Steak, served medium rare, with tastebud exploding Pepper Sauce … Mmmm!
Healthy Living
Stephanos told me; “We’ve started following fashion and serving a cool selection of Healthy Living Food”. So expect to see vegetarian and gluten-free dishes including a few that allow them to use their imagination!
Behind the Bar
Stephanos and his crew will always serve you with a smile, with several beers on draught, and by the bottle, including top seller Peroni Beer from Italy, my favourite lager Stella Artois, Erdinger Weißbier and probably the best Guinness you’ll taste this side of Dublin and one of their latest additions Cold Brew Dog IPA
Gin Time
Up on the shelves, they boast 25 Rums, Vodkas, and my favourite Single Malt Whiskies and a selection of Wines from all over the world! Again following fashion, Stephanos has a selection of over 50 Gins, many of them used to create a selection of Signature Cocktails. You must try; The ‘Fruity Gin’ garnished with sundried fruits is just delicious.
Ciders
They also have an awesome selection of Ciders and Fruit Ciders … While I was there recently, Stephanos served me one of their specialities, a New Horizon Fruity Cider, blended with Monim Syrup to add a tangy taste to Chilled Thatchers Cider, along with some fresh strawberries, seriously it was absolutely delicious!
Good Sounds
Stephanos spent a fortune on a high-quality sound system, regularly holding ‘Rock’ theme nights and Latin Nights, so you can have a little salsa, and as often as not, it depends on the crowd they got in that night.
Parties
They welcome enquiries for wedding parties, birthday parties, hen and stag nights and special events, and will put on a buffet spread to suit your taste! Stephanos said; “We’ll soon have the beer garden out back renovated and target the opening party by May 2024” so if you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy the sea view, on sunset parties with silhouetted palm trees, stay tuned for more.

Another Level
This really is a very special pub, with fabulous food, served from 10 am til 12 midnight every day … Stephanos and the crew have been getting it right for almost 30 years which speaks for itself, with a phenomenal repeat clientele so its always advisable to book, especially if there’s a big group of you … Click here to see their company Video … and check out their TripAdvisor reviews here.

Stephanos told me; “we’ve recently refurbished a few 1 and 2 Bedroom Apartments and a delightful Studio apartment that are available for short-term holiday rentals with plans to add a few more before the end of the summer” … Please call him for information about Terrazza Suites …

You’ll find the New Horizon Gastro Pub on the main road between Kato Paphos and Coral Bay, in between the Azia and Helios Hotels … it’s a perfect stop off whichever way you’re going … with plenty of parking available, so too facilities for people with special needs and they’re on bus route 615 from Paphos to Coral Bay … See Google Map icon below …
