What's On Cyprus

It’s so hard to grow natural grass in Cyprus, so Jimmy is the main agent, importing this fantastic selection of synthetic, aka artificial grass of varying grades and blades, of 30mm, 35mm, and 40 mm length, in rolls of 25 metres length by 2 or 4 metres in width.  It can be cut to fit any size lawn, big or small, so you can make your garden lush green all year …

My initial interest was to find out about their gins, Aris explained, "it's what originally brought us back to Cyprus, 'to create a quality craft gin'.  Our initial inspiration was the aroma of The Troodos Mountains after a long dry summer when it first rains and we wanted to capture exactly that and put it in a bottle and we called it Aoratas Dry Gin which in fact last year won a gold medal. 

Sharen explained; "Each unique piece brings joy and inspiration to our world, designing our bespoke mosaics, large or small, with attention to detail and they are built to withstand our extreme climatic conditions, bringing permanent colour, texture and strength."   Sharen continued; my inspiration comes from each individual location, and it's surroundings, and Sharen obviously loves to work in the reproduction of ancient images, uniquely designing her mosaics and art pieces, and a visit to her workshop is an absolute must!

I thought I would share a little insight in what to expect ...

There's 8 different Cocktail Mixing Competitions that will be held over the two days, with big cash prizes to be won.  At the exhibition will be around 20 Booths, where members of The Cyprus Bartenders Association can present their services and local products, anything from glasses, and bar tools to craft beers and award-winning wines and spirits ...

So I caught up with the fabulous Kay for a chat ... She told me, "This year's location has been kept secret and it's just been announced and it's at Paraklisha, in Limassol ... It's getting bigger every year, so far we have over 1,500 participants registered, who can all expect an unforgettable mix of adrenaline, teamwork and fun ... and for the first time there's a Kids Challenge too

Friday nights are Fish & Chip Nights, and a slice and a cuppa !
