An International Option
Accepting children from 3 months old up to 4 years old. Barbara told me; “we also offer an after-school program, where children from pre-schools until 10 years old are also welcomed”. “They can be collected from school via the Nursery’s Mini Bus, served lunch and helped with their homework whether it’s English or Greek! Snacks can also be provided for your children. The areas covered for this service are all over Larnaca”.
Unique
I first met ‘Barbara’, this fully qualified and extraordinary Canadian Cypriot, back in the late 90’s, and over a delicious coffee, she told me a lovely story about how she moved to Cyprus on her own, chasing her heritage, finally opening her International Nursery 25 years ago. We talked about the marriage, the split, the single mum thing, more so coping with and beating Epilepsy and I have to say; knowing her journey, it’s a credit to her how Barbara has built this excellent Nursery and now provides an exceptional variety of options for your littlen’s safety and early learning.
Lessons
Barbara told me; “The lessons are taught in English although the staff are multi-national and speak several different languages including Greek, Russian, Bulgarian and French”. She continued “And it’s the other little extras that make the difference”, Barbara’s love of Art, inherited by her son Mario, which will help immensely during painting time … and equally her love for modelling, which helps in building self-confidence, transferring that with passion to the kids.
Special Needs
What I really find special about Barbara and this nursery is that they are qualified to accept children with Special Needs, i.e. Autism, Epilepsy, ADHD, and Down syndrome, which surprisingly many other nurseries in Cyprus aren’t! … Speaking from experience I strongly believe all children need to integrate with other children!
Activities
Barbara and I discussed; How there’s no better way to teach children than by play, she smiled as she said “They don’t even realise they are learning”! Activities include; singing, reading, and learning the alphabet, numbers, colours, and shapes.
Technology
In this world of technology, this nursery leads the way, as they also have a newly built Computer Room, where the children attending The Summer School – After-School Program, can continue learning again by having lots of fun doing computer activities.
Extras
Now, here’s where this nursery goes the extra mile … within the fee, they provide extracurricular things like Yoga, and Mai Thai where your child is taught flexibility and self-defence, by professionals! They even have their own Swimming Pool where for a small fee your children can be taught to swim by qualified instructors!
Yoga
Every Monday the school invites the wonderful Elena Mikellidou to pass on her wealth of knowledge during their Yoga Classes for children 2 years plus.
Mai Thai
Children from the age 3 can be introduced to the art of Mai Thai from 9.30 am every Tuesday … the children are separated into 3 Separate Classes by age groups, and taught by the brilliant Nino
Cheeky Monkeys
This incredible duo, Coach Stephen from UK and Coach Cesar from Spain are head of the Cheeky Monkeys where they offer different sports, such as Football, Basketball and Floor Hockey.
Special Events
The whole crew love to celebrate special occasions and holidays by throwing parties for the children. Every year at Easter Bug’s Bunny comes to visit and it’s happy bunny’s everywhere. They also host a great Halloween Party where everyone dresses up and there’s fun and games and lots of yummy treats!
Seasons Greetings
Then, every Christmas, they’ll have festive activities, including making yummy Christmas Cookies and getting a special visit from Santa on a Harley, and The Gringe is coming on the back of the Harley! They also take the children on the occasional educational day trips! Just brilliant !!!

Barbara and her 9 qualified Nursery Teachers are passionate about their work, they absolutely love it and offer versatility with so many options for you to be able to work the hours you want to and be totally confident that the kids are in excellent safe hands!
