American Style Diner
It’s one of the newest bars in the heart of Napa, and I’d heard so much about this place, I couldn’t wait to catch up with Marios to find out what’s on. I’ve known this guy since his Bloom Bar days back in 2019. We arranged a meeting one late afternoon in May, and I just had to ask Marios why A94 ? … His answer wasn’t what I expected, so it’s best you ask him yourself, lol … Marios invited me to try the huge pork chops and a Zanty … How could I say no?
Stylish
As I walked in for the first time, I was well impressed with the simple blackboards adorning the walls up the stairs leading to the bar on the first floor. Inside, it’s all dark wood and industrial style metal … cool signs everywhere, I couldn’t resist getting a couple of shots, how do you like your whiskey? The bar is open on three sides, so lovely cool breezes with really cool views over the heart of Napa, Marios laughed as he said, “it gets packed in here for the festive parades”!
Comfy Sports
There’s high tables with comfortable stools and lower tables with comfy chairs, sort of spit and sawdust style … around the side a slightly more private balcony and over in one corner, the sports side, with 2 dart boards, a pool table, a pinball machine and video games, and 5 big screens so you can watch all the live sports.
Behind the Bar
The bar looks awesome, again wood ‘n’ metal, shiny glasses racked up high, and it looked fully stocked, with real drinks and speciality spirits! … On the bar, 8 Draught beers including Guinness, Santy Weiss, 1664 Blanc, and Militsa, a local Strawberry & Lime Cider … Plus, of course, Carlesberg, Leon and Sommesby Cider, with lots more choice in bottled beers, unusually; Voreia IPA, a vegan beer, Grimbergan Double Ambree or Blanche from Belgium … btw, I love the attention to detail with their glasses, mine weighed a ton!
Mixologist
Head barman Antonis, with a cool hairdo, headhunted from a nearby softer rock cafe, is the mixologist extraordinaire … omg! can he mix a cocktail or two … He told me “The Porn Star Martini and Frozen Margaritas were last years best sellers” … I fancied something different … but what? … with around 15 different blends of whiskey, 11 different Gins, 5 Delicious Rums, do try the Zacapa Solera, there’s also 7 Tequilas, Wines from Cyprus, Greece and Australia, to mention but a few, I started to realise why this place has attained such a good name in such a short time.
Signitures
Naturally, they sell all the classic cocktails, but I tried a couple of their signature cocktails … the A94, a fabulous blend of Captain Morgan’s White Rum, Passion Fruit, Lime Juice, Vanilla, Orange Liquor, and a slice of passion fruit for garnish … The ‘Basil Smash’ is Bulldog London Dry Gin, blended with Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup and Basil … But my favourite has to be the Zafeiro, a mix of Disaronno Amaretto, Bulldog London Dry Gin, Lemon Juice, Honey Syrup, Olive Oil and Basil … dangerously moorish!!!

By the way, you must check out their Gin Corner, premium Gin and tonics … oh, and they also have a cool selection of Non-Alcoholic Cocktails.
In the Kitchen
This is as close to an American Diner as you can get without the rollerskates … On the starters side, my faves are the Nachos, Spring Rolls, Mozarella Sticks and Cheese Fries … I tried a couple of their signature dips, the Honey & Mustard was delicious, so too the Mango Mayo … but the A94 had a kick hotter than Tobasco!
Grills & Salads
It’s more a grill than a kitchen and leans towards finger foods, so do try the chicken wings, buffalo style, BBQ Smoked, or the Jack Daniel’s wings were yummy … there’s fresh crispy cut salads, and fabulous Burgers made with 100% Black Angus beef, served medium to well done … go classic, with cheese, or one of my favourites the A94 Burger, with Black Angus, crispy bacon. cheese, fried egg, caramelised onions, lettuce and mango mayo … Finger licking good Mmmm!
Mains
I tried the huge Pork Chop, served with Chips, salad, and Greek Pitta bread … The Chicken Kebab looks good, but this is one of the few diners that sell Chicken and Pork Gyros served in Greek or Cypriot Pitta with fresh cut salad and tzatziki sauce! … click here for their full Menu
Live Music
It’s a rock bar, so expect the music genres to be rock, soft rock, reggae, and there’s live music on Wednesday, Fridays and Sunday Nights … oh, and if you fancy a bit of karaoke, go on Saturday night and grab the mic!
First Thoughts
I loved my first visit, loved the style, the decor and the ambience, with first-class service, real drinks, cool sounds and an awesome view over the centre of Napa oh and delicious munchies and proper grills available to eat in or takeaway, or order through Wolt Delivery below, just a touch above the rest, so I’m gonna make it one of my locals! … Check out our Live Video in May
