What's On Cyprus

... It was built to be a 5-star accommodation, so a tad more spacious, but it's run as a 4-star, a tranquil escape from the excitement of Ayia Napa.  And, it's owned by the hands-on, charismatic, Pantelis of Liquid Café and Sage Fusion Restaurants fame, those in the know will understand it's inevitable this hotel can only be first class.

They're in the quiet part of town but close by are lots of cafe's, restaurants, wine bars, convenience stores, bakeries, shops, and pharmacies.  Just a short walk is the old port, the new port a little further and all those gorgeous old buildings in old town, converted into lovely eateries, wine bars and exclusive designer shops.

As I arrived, my first impressions were it looked quite 'normal', a fairly plain frontage, edged in gorgeous natural stone walls, wonderful wooden shutters, but through the big antique wooden front doors and into the lounge and you're in another world ... making it obvious why its a favourite for wedding planners ...

Then step out back, the pièce de résistance, an absolutely enchanting courtyard, mature trees, plants, and foliage everywhere, a red trellis adorning a multitude of colours ... It's become a lively meeting spot for locals to unwind after a busy day.  The warm glow of twinkling fairy lights adds an enchanting touch to the already picturesque setting.
