I am delighted to introduce you to The Lordos Group of Hotels as I've worked closely with their 3 hotels and indeed the Lordos family since 1993.  They are without a doubt one of Cyprus' leading companies and their 3 hotels certainly excel when it comes to location, comfort, and hospitality.  Each hotel with its own specific features, each hotel unique in its own way, all ideally situated in perfect locations, pretty much, right on the beach!

Coming up to their first anniversary in Cyprus I asked Nicola to tell me about the Menu ... Nicola said; "We sort of split it into three cuisines, Fresh Fish, Fresh Sushi, and Vegan Platters & Snacks ... Our head chef has been with us since day one, his qualifications and previous experience in Cyprus, the very best Sushi eateries, including Sushi La and Wagamama" ... I was suitably impressed!

It's amazing how many people still didn't know this place exists ... it's situated in the village of Avgorou, and includes beautifully landscaped herb gardens, the woodland area created in the shape of Cyprus, scattered with the endemic trees and shrubs of Cyprus, a Lavender Labyrinth, and it boasts the first and only hedge maze on the island, all 2000 sq.m. of it ...

Spiros explained; "it’s my hobby to find new authentic recipes on the net, then I cook them, taste them, and I invite my chefs to taste, and if we all agree, the dish becomes a 'Special of the Day', until eventually it gets added to one of our menus!" … brilliant!

Top Teppanyaki Chefs from Japan and Asia create an electric atmosphere, entertaining you while conjuring up some of the finest cuisine, cooked fresh to order, and live, right in front of you, so it's a perfect choice for your birthday party, wedding celebration, or any special event, and it's a popular choice for stag or hen nights ... and, whatever you do, don't forget your camera!

Just a short walk up from the square, is one of the best restaurants in Cyprus; just ask anyone!  oh, and I should warn you, Los Bandidos Mexican Restaurant is seriously addictive !!!  Established for 30 years this eaterie gained a reputation as one of the finest restaurants in Cyprus and every year they seem to get better.   They do absolutely everything with such style and finesse, and with excellent staff, authentic music and traditional Mexican décor oh, and cacti everywhere! It's a must visit!

As coffee moves to a higher level in Cyprus, Coffee Lab in Paralimni is leading the way ... They specialise in real fresh ground coffee from a single source, by that I mean they know exactly which Coffee Farm it comes from and that includes speciality coffee from Brazil, Ethiopia, Guatemala and Kenya and if you're luck you'll catch one of their limited editions ... Trust me they guys know their coffee ... More ...

Fāinā told me "We originally opened a French restaurant in Makarios Avenue, introducing Lebanese cuisine after 2 years, but when we moved our restaurant here we switched to a Lebanese Restaurant with just a few French dishes as our customers were mostly locals.  These days its a more varied international mix as more and more tourists have discovered us.  As the years past, we found more and more of our customers were asking us to cook French cuisine for them".  She laughed and said "ha! but many restaurants cook Frogs Legs, but none can cook them like ours!  And, then she added; just wait til you try our Duck!"

I popped into meet Stelios and Eleni, inside its clean cut, minimalistic, Italian designer style, with wooden flooring, comfortable seating for around 25 people inside and a few tables outside for Al' Fresco dining … Stelios told me "we wanted to make it feel like Home from Home" … I loved the really cool photos chosen by Eleni, especially the one saying "Eat the Spaghetti to Forget your Regretti", brilliant"!

Stephanos said; "We got together often, looking for the best place where we could open an authentic Greek Restaurant.  We could have done it in Thessaloniki, but there's lots of Greek Restaurants there, so it was a calculated decision and we chose Larnaca because it reminded us most of Thessaloniki and then of course the weather here in Cyprus had something to do with it"
