It's a pub with British style pub, with an international clientele, an awesome crew, a relaxed ambience, and a great place to eat traditional pub grub with a twist oh, and an awesome place to watch all the live sports ... It's like home from home even if you're on your own! ... What else do you need from a pub? Your favourite tipple, they've probably got it!

It's a picturesque setting, with the restaurant literally on the riverbank, overlooking the fishing shelter, on the estuary of the Liopetri River aka 'Potamos', with stunning views stretching all the way to Cape Greko.  Inside, traditional, comfortable seating, fresh fish fridges, old photos on walls, and outside on the terrace with decking, where their two fishing boats are docked, seating for around 150 diners, lined with umbrellas for a little shade, and with the sea just a few metres away. you couldn't find a more perfect setting to eat fish!  btw, Haris and Margaritas' grandfather Nicolas opened this delightful beachside location in Potamos 50 years ago, so all the local fishermen could enjoy their days' catch, and btw, they still do.

Not just for hotels, this place caters for everyone who loves to cook ... The stock is extensive, to say the least, and delivery is nationwide, which is why they're favoured by many top hotels, restaurants, bars, cafeterias, apartments and private and domestic homes.  I think it's the only place you can go to find just what you need, on every visit!

George showed me around the grounds explaining; "You can learn so much about marine life here, and rivers and swamps and the Penguins, the first ever in the Mediterranean region, naturally kept comfortable in the appropriate climate controlled environment".  Just watching one of their videos I amazingly learned that all Gold Fish don't have stomachs, so they have to keep eating, which means you should feed them small amounts 5 times a day, probably why I was never successful keeping one, but now I know!

Roulla didn't want to just sell normal shoes, Roulla wanted high heels, naturally!, extreme design, of course!, extreme colours, why not?, crazy prints, the crazier the better!, oh and a few studs, that goes without saying, and she told me, within 6 months it was obvious there was a lot of ladies out there just like her age 18 to 90, yes 90 ...

The name Karas is synonymous with quality fresh fish, and it's regarded as one of the best fish restaurants in Cyprus, so its naturally a Cypriots favourite, and purely by reputation, they come from all over Cyprus to eat here !

Situated in the middle of Protaras Bay, without argument, one of Cyprus' finest beaches ... it's a family business, run by two brothers Alexi and Kyri, btw, they've been on the beach since they were in nappies, or not as the case may be, things don't change lol

Continuing the cruise towards Lover's Bridge, pulling in so close to Sharks Mouth Cave and The Pirates Caves, you have to push them off the rocks ... and then on towards the sea caves where you'll have a chance to jump in and explore the caves or just have a refreshing dip in the beautiful Blue Lagoon during the 45 minute swim stop ... oh, mind you don't lose your Captain to the Aphrodite I Cruises here ;)

... we had to go with the times and old TV programs got dropped and we started a little entertainment and the pub matured, signs and blackboards every where and pretty much the same crowd would come in, a mix of young guests and the more mature lot who still remember the show ... and their popularity grew even more when the snack menu changed into a real pub grub menu ...
