It looks inviting
This pub looks like a traditional British style pub, but it’s not just for the Brits, coz you get loads of locals and international tourists here, so it’s probably because it looks so inviting from the outside … sitting centre stage on Kapparis Avenue, aka Kennedy Avenue, outside there’s a lovely terrace, all wooden tables and benches, inside it’s big and spacious, with comfortable seating, an awesome menu, loads of blackboards and signs, 9 big TV screens showing all the live sports, often 4 or 5 games at the same time on Saturday, including the Cypriot games and the atmosphere and the banter is absolutely awesome! oh, there’s free Wifi …
Your Hosts
A very well-oiled team run the place impeccably, as they’ve been doing for years, assuring me that naturally there will be a few changes each year, but we’re going to keep making them coz a change is a good as a holiday, just wait ’til you see the new menu and lets face it, tbh, this crew are really hard to beat!
Behind the Bar
You’ll find the largest selection of draught beers in the area including, ice-cold Guinness, Stella, Peroni, Carlsberg, Keo, San Miquel, Leon, Somersby Cider, Thatchers, plus a few fridges full of more fruity Ciders, international Beers, Real Ales including the award-winning Old Speckled Hen or a full-bodied Stout. They’re also envied for their selection of local and international wines served by the glass or bottle.
Cocktails
Famous for their frozen Strawberry Daiquiris they also serve delicious Mojitos, and a variety of Cocktails my faves are Porn Star Martini, a cool blend of Absolut Vanilla Vodka, mango, passion fruit, freshly squeezed orange and lime juice, served with a shot of Prosecco or The Rum Punch, be warned it kicks like a mule, oh and I love the unique Mocktails, non alcoholic, but for adults only 😉 … and, btw, owner Chris is passionate about nature and the Kapparis area, so they’re using paper straws, brilliant!
Coffee Time
They also boast a real coffee machine, doubleheader, blending absolutely delicious ‘Lavazza’ fresh Italian Coffee beans, served hot or cold, perfect! … The cappuccino is my fav, Mmm! btw, check out their cakes 😉
Kitchen Gastronomy
Renowned for their varied menu, it’s traditionally British but with a twist of creative food ideas, with head chef Pavlin still in charge, and with an international crew of chefs from Cyprus, Europe, and India, serving excellent food … Starting with breakfast, it has to be the Full English Breakfast or maybe, the Cypriot Breakfast in Pitta Bread or btw, The Sharing is Caring Breakfast is a cool idea, and another 14 choices, wow!, maybe the Veggie or Vegan Breakfasts, or do try the Fruity Breakfast with Yogurt. but, then there’s the almost irresistible Pancakes, oh, you really must try the twentysomething ‘To Share’ Appetizers to prepare you for the slow-cooked Rack of Ribs covered in a choice of BBQ, JD, or Buffalo Sauces, that’ ll leave you licking your fingers as well as your lips!!!

They’ve recently added lots of Platters for Two or more, to enjoy with your friends, so you can choose Nachos, grilled vegetables, or meat, or fish or cheese or even vegan platters or a mix of all of them …
International Cuisine
Keeping it British, the Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas are awesome, so too the Liver and Bacon, slow-cooked with onions in thick gravy, but they also serve a selection of International dishes, my fav is the new amazing Prime Beefburgers made with 100% Beef, oh and the Curries, Chinese or Indian, the Thai Wok Noodles one of my favs, add chicken or prawns for an extra €2 !!! oh and the Vegan Black Bean Spicy Fajitas are a taste bud explosion! oh, and btw, they have a great choice for Veggies and Vegan diets …
Signature Dishes
Because it’s traditional pub grub style, you’ll find awesome Pie & Mash, Toad in the Hole and delicious Winter Warmers. Pig Ribs are very popular, so to Agnes’ favourite, the Sandwiches and Baguettes … one of my favs is the Tiger Prawns.
Lunchtime Specials
There’s always ‘Specials of the Day’ on the boards, plus a huge selection of Toasties, Stuffed Pitta Pockets, Sandwiches, and Baguettes. The Pulled Pork is amazing, the Pigs Stew even better and the creative Wraps, brilliant … and crazy as it sounds the homemade Soups are to die for! and btw, a Take-Away Service is also available with a 10% Discount …
Sunday Roast
Their speciality, a choice of four home-cooked meats, with all the trimmings including Yorkies and cauliflower cheese all topped off with tasty thick gravy, and whatever you do you must leave some room for the delicious Apple Pie and Custard or just wait ’til you try their Chocolate Brownies.
Healthy Options
One of the few eateries I know offering Vegan and Gluten-Free choices and even more options for vegetarians, plus a really cool Children’s Menu, oh and they’re happy to change almost anything on the menu to suit your taste, so don’t be shy and just ask!
Live Sports
There’s a quality Pool Table, plus 9 big screens all over the place, showing all the live sports … so this is a great eaterie to watch all the football, rugby and F1, tennis, boxing, and there’s continuous Sky TV broadcasts throughout the day accompanied by Fish & Chips and mushy peas, a slice. and a pint of course 😉
Pub Quiz & Parties
Regular entertainment is all part of the service with the occasional charity gigs and a brilliant Fun Pub Quiz for teams of up to 6 people with bonus rounds and cash prizes … it’s always a really good laugh, and lots of clients hold special events and birthday parties here.
Events
Naturally, always open for things like Easter, Green Monday, St Patrick’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, and last New Year’s Eve party was an afternoon thing with a live band finishing about 8 pm-ish. Oh, and their Secret Santa normally mid-December, isn’t happening this year, they told me it was a secret what’s on instead 😉 and look out for their plans to bring Live Bands, Top Name DJ’s …

The team always welcome enquiries for birthday parties, special events, charity events, coffee mornings, sports team meetings, with lots of choices of finger food and specials buffets …
