It all started some years ago, when for personal reasons my father needed to assist with memory loss as he grew older.  Dr. Anabtawi aka Mo, has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering but he's very scientific, coupled with countless years of experience as a registered nutritionist, creating a formula of 23 natural ingredients that were blended together to create their Memory Booster.  The results were almost immediate and samples given to friends and when he got re-orders, Strength & Spices were born ...

"we were up in the Troodos mountains, letting the dogs taste a little snow, run around and have fun, my friend Garry rented a sled, and while playing with the dogs he just asked me to hand him the leads, and it was amazing, we couldn't believe it, the huskies absolutely loved it, they couldn't wait to pull the sled again and again, wagging their tails and barking to let us let them run ... so we had a purpose built sled specially made for us and now the dogs can do what they do, naturally, and as they loved it so much, I thought why not share this with like minded people".

This really is a lovely initiative by local, ex-pat and international artists and crafters from all over the world and a lovely way to spend a family day out doing a little shopping and bartering for Christmas and I really hope you'll go along to give them some support, especially this year ... An eatery of the highest esteem, I love the crazy paved terrace, shaded by tall mature trees, that twinkle delightfully as the sun sets, the crazy colourful tables and chairs, almost kindergarden'ish, little alcoves of comfy seating, hammocks set up high in the trees, whilst down a tier, skirting the rocks, a pathway leading to the almost private beach on the left, that'll have mellow music and waiter service and there's plenty of sunbeds, all with a view to die for, a sea of serenity at Sirena Bay ...

The course is well managed, self-funded and very well maintained, and tbh, suits mid to high handicap players ... originally carved out by Major Franks RE and his engineers back in 1964 ... It's 18 holes, split by a gated road, 11 holes one side and 7 the other, with artificial grass greens ... totaling 6,500 yards, there's 4 x Par 3's 12 x Par 4's and 2 x Par 5's ...  and a course total of Par 70 ... with the course record an excellent 66 by ex-pro Tony Lassia

Sharen explained; Each unique piece brings joy and inspiration to her world, saying "our bespoke mosaics, large or small, are designed with attention to detail and built to withstand our extreme climatic conditions, bringing permanent colour, texture and strength'" saying that her inspiration comes from each individual location, and Sharen obviously loves to work in the reproduction of ancient images, uniquely designing her mosaics and art pieces, and a visit to her workshop is highly recommended!

Standing proud at the top of Hero's Square, right in the heart of Limassol, a place where people gather, in days of old a mix of Greek and Turkish Cypriots, apparently once a red light district, now a mix of popular stylish bar's and eateries, and as the decline of cinema in the 80's inspired the new Rialto Theatre, that launched in 1999 and helped to develop the area into a hive of activities, cultural or not! 

I met up with the owner Nicos Pyrgos for a chat, and it soon became obvious that this guy has exceptional knowledge about fireworks ... after all, his father Marios launched the company back in 1986, laughing, Nicos said, "I've got gunpowder in my veins"! ... ha! my type of guy!

This is without doubt, one of my fav places to sit and watch the world go by ...
