I've had the pleasure to work closely with this impeccable hotel since 1993.  To be honest if you ever stay here, there's a very good chance you'll go back!  I think its because it's still a family run hotel, with many of their staff staying long enough to be family and its without a doubt regarded as one of Cyprus's finest hotels.  In fact, they were recently awarded a Trip Advisor Travelers' Choice Award for 2021 to add to an ever increasing impressive list of awards over the years.

The course is well managed, self-funded and very well maintained, and tbh, suits mid to high handicap players ... originally carved out by Major Franks RE and his engineers back in 1964 ... It's 18 holes, split by a gated road, 11 holes one side and 7 the other, with artificial grass greens ... totaling 6,500 yards, there's 4 x Par 3's 12 x Par 4's and 2 x Par 5's ...  and a course total of Par 70 ... with the course record an excellent 66 by ex-pro Tony Lassia

There's 8 different Cocktail Mixing Competitions that will be held over the two days, with big cash prizes to be won.  At the exhibition will be around 20 Booths, where members of The Cyprus Bartenders Association can present their services and local products, anything from glasses, and bar tools to craft beers and award-winning wines and spirits ...

My initial interest was to find out about their gins, Aris explained, "it's what originally brought us back to Cyprus, 'to create a quality craft gin'.  Our initial inspiration was the aroma of The Troodos Mountains after a long dry summer when it first rains and we wanted to capture exactly that and put it in a bottle and we called it Aoratas Dry Gin which in fact last year won a gold medal. 

George showed me around the grounds explaining; "You can learn so much about marine life here, and rivers and swamps and the Penguins, the first ever in the Mediterranean region, naturally kept comfortable in the appropriate climate controlled environment".  Just watching one of their videos I amazingly learned that all Gold Fish don't have stomachs, so they have to keep eating, which means you should feed them small amounts 5 times a day, probably why I was never successful keeping one, but now I know!

I met Andonis when they first opened, he told me "all our luxury vehicles are new models, kept immaculately clean, and naturally fully air-conditioned for your comfort".  "All our drivers are dressed smart, young, and fully licensed and insured and will be ready to look after you always, offering the best prices, so that you'll use us every time you need a taxi, and then recommend us to your friends"! ... It's Just One Call to be safe!

Their reputation is second to none in Cyprus, in fact, to many people, they are the only company they would choose ... currently, that's about 60 families and businesses a week, in fact, we used them when we recently brought over some furniture from Wales, along with 120 Whisky Barrels!

The Akamas Peninsula is the real Cyprus, it's a protected area and National Park and worth a visit by boat, by 4 wheel drive car, Buggy or Jeep Adventures ... whichever you choose ... Go !!!
