Naturally I had to ask why Mambo’s, I joked, nothing to do with Nando’s?, he smiled and said "maybe" … explaining “if anything, we wanted to bring a new concept to the area, with a hint of a Mediterranean fusion with South America” … But I love the name, the décor very cool, the little touches here and there tells you know they mean business. There’s a lovely long terrace on the sunny mornings side of the road, and indoors spacious for your parties … or those chilli winter nights …
By rule of thumb if its quiet in here, it'll be dead everywhere else! ... Gary's Bar & Grill is without doubt one of the best eateries in Napa, recently, yet again, awarded a Certificate of Excellence 2020 by Trip Advisor, it's becoming a habit and tbh, they deserve every accolade they get! ... The Grand Slam is a family run British style boozer, it's even on the corner, on the sunny side of the road, and once known as The Corner Pin, inside it looks busy, with quirky little designs mostly mums doing, I just love the Table Tops they're well cool ... There's music memorabilia all over the place with a professional light and sound system, a well stocked bar, with a lovely front terrace onto Kapparis Avenue ... it's a great stop off for an afternoon drink, good pub grub, and there's something happening here almost every night!

They definitely don't sell fast food here, they sell really good food as fast as they can and the menu is truly international, carefully prepared by Emma, ably assisted by 5 top chefs, headed up by Gavin and Andrew who conjure up a menu of international culinary delights to suite absolutely every taste, using only fresh local produce and imported delicacies ... and whatever you do you really must leave some room for dessert, or just go for desserts ... mmmm!
Just off the roundabout at Ayia Triada, two mins walk from Trinity Beach, with gorgeous sweeping views to the sea, is this traditional British Pub that's a hive of activity day and night … Barbara and Simon, aka Simon the Pie Man come from the Green Isle and good old Irish hospitality came with them, in abundance !!!
This is one of those places that just gives you a warm family, home from home feeling in a relaxed ambience, the best pub grub and the more than occasional parrrrrty!
The course is well managed, self-funded and very well maintained, and tbh, suits mid to high handicap players ... originally carved out by Major Franks RE and his engineers back in 1964 ... It's 18 holes, split by a gated road, 11 holes one side and 7 the other, with artificial grass greens ... totaling 6,500 yards, there's 4 x Par 3's 12 x Par 4's and 2 x Par 5's ... and a course total of Par 70 ... with the course record an excellent 66 by ex-pro Tony Lassia
... it's an absolutely wonderful find, just off Kapparis Avenue, just over 200 metres to the beach, in one of my favourite areas in Cyprus, with a massive veranda, so you can relax overlooking the sea that’s about 200 metres away ...
