Tea for Two Cafe Restaurant, Kato Paphos, Established 1991

Home from Home
There’s three, Tea for Two’s in Paphos, sort of gives you an idea which way these eateries are going. Without doubt a fantastic choice for breakfast, served all day, and arguably the best in town, or lunch, just cool and breezy in the summer or warm and toasty in the winter months, and a home from home dinner menu, fantastic!, or maybe just indulge in coffees’ cocktails, drinks and desserts, they’re all home made, delicious and huge portions! … oh and just a little bit naughty !!!

Over 25 Years
I met Kostas and Jackie over twenty years ago, not long after they bought their first cake shop and slowly turned it into a Traditional British Tea Rooms … I just loved the idea of Tea Rooms in Paphos, as a kid I lived in Bath, where tea rooms were part of growing up, toasted Bath Buns and a pot of tea, or later dapping off to the country to find real cream teas in ornate cottages with colourful beer gardens, swings for the kids, the old fashioned
way, with attentive staff with a smile and the aim to make your visit perfect, extra cream please 😉 … That’s pretty much what you’ll find at Tea for Two, but in sunny Paphos!

Breakfast
Far to many favourites to mention, starting with a good old fashioned English breakfast served all day, just in case you miss the 10 am curfew, oh and healthy options too, fresh seasonal fruits, nuts and cereals, to blend into gorgeous thick Smoothies made with ice cool vanilla ice cream … mmm!…

Brunch or Lunch
At brunch or lunchtime I normally go for one of their filled rolls, home made beefburgers, or crispy salads, the Caesar salad my fav, or tasty toasties or just coffee and home made apple pie and awesome fresh cream …

Afternoons
Now for me this is when ‘Tea for Two’ come into their element, their specialties, a proper cup of tea, in a proper tea pot, mmm!, I love afternoon teas, with fluffy fruit scones, fresh cream and strawberry jam,or a nice speciality pot of freshly brewed herbal loose leaf teas, made of course with boiling water, or for the caffeine freaks, the must try, Iced Blended Cafe Late Extreme OMG !!! and then, just chill n watch the world go by.  Heaven !

Evenings
The good things continue ’til midnight every night with home from home cooking, especially Jackie’s home made pies, that are so popular she converted her home into a pro kitchen … Inside a lovely atmosphere when really busy and just as cool when its quieter.  The menu is varied but I have to say I love the home made soups in the winter, or maybe the prawn curry, fluffy omelettes, but my real fav is the Cottage Pie, it’s just to die for ! oh and you must try the exotic cocktails and ‘always’ add some of their amazing Garlic Bread Mmm!

Naughties
Things like home made Cherry Pie, OMG ! and a Lemon Meringue that’s out of this world and pancakes drizzling in your fav sauce and ice cream and well, I’ll just have to give you one more hint, always leave room for dessert … or, go just for desserts 😉

Into the era or Takeaway
They’re totally geared up to accept clients with disabilities and always happy to help … It’s a family place with traditional Cypriot family values, I love the friendly service and the chance to indulge in a good old British Tea Room atmosphere, getting into the era of times past, or just watch sunset with a glass of wine but if a friend couldn’t make it or you haven’t got time to stop, a Take Away Service is available up ’til 10.30 pm …

Art Gallery
Jackie is also an excellent artist and is exhibiting her works, until November at their shop near The Olympic Lagoon .. I love the fine detail in this artist’s work, absolutely awesome !!! More …

Just a thought
I wonder when they open their forth restaurant, if they’ll call it Tea for Four ? … It’s probably not too far away, hmm? anyway, why not check out more than 2,500 reviews on Trip Advisor …
