Liquid Cafe Bar, Ayia Napa

Truly Unique
Without a doubt one of the most popular all-year-round cafes in Napa, and in fact, it’s up there on my list of favourite cafes in Cyprus … I think this spacious bar, recently renovated, is one of the most modern and stylish bars in Ayia Napa.  It’s as popular with the locals as it is with the tourists, and you can see why as you walk in, with its comfy chill-out zones and dining areas, which are pleasant, minimalistic, and yet decorated very classy, to say the least, and you’ll always receive a warm welcome by the friendly and professional staff.

Cool Ambience
I love this place, not just coz it has such a cool ambience, that’ll make you relax and unwind in no time.  The awesome sound system offers pleasant background music and their really cool crew provides you with that traditional Cypriot hospitality that Cyprus is famous for, oh and other little things like the posh toothpicks!

Coffee Perfection
I recently caught up with the managers Yiannis and Antonis, a highly qualified barrister, who’s a member of the Speciality Coffee Association, Athens 2016/19 … and a Member of The Cyprus Bar Association Level 2 … Choosing the wonderful Illy Coffee, a low-caffeine arabica grown in El Salvador …

Speciality Coffee
Plus their Secret Blend from Brazil, Columbia and Ethiopia, the latter a single source coffee, a unique find, with no expense spared, scoring over 84 Score Points on the coffee counter, that really stands this cafe out from the rest!

Relax in Style
Out front, an open veranda where you can sit and watch the world go by or inside gorgeous comfy sofas where you can sit back and relax in style in the cool air conditioning during the long hot summers and warm n’ toasty during those chilly winter evenings … venture out back on the gorgeous veranda for even more comfy sofas, dining areas, and high party tables.

All Day & Night
The bar is open from 9 am to 2 am, so you can pop in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, gorgeous coffees in the afternoon with a naughty slice of cake, maybe a romantic dinner for two, or just evening drinks and a catch up with friends, whichever you choose, this is an awesome place to go.  They provide a great menu from their hearty breakfasts to amazing platters or grilled main meals to delicious homemade desserts.

Just Coffee
With over 30 Coffees to choose from, hot or ice-cold, my fav has to be the White Chocolate hot, sooo Moorish, tbh the choice is endless and I have 3 or 4 choices that top my list! so check out their Menu here to see what I mean … Made by qualified Barristers of course!

Live Sports
If you’re looking for a place to watch the match, they show all your favourite sports events on 16 big TV Screens, or enjoy a game of pool while the ladies sit back and have a chat with a delicious cocktail or two, made with imagination to tantalize those taste buds and there’s free high-speed Internet Access to all their customers, naturally!

Breakfast & Brunch
Everyone loves a Traditional English Breakfast served with Tea or Coffee and Orange or Grapefruit Juice … or go full out with their Farmer’s Brunch, a nice way to start the day … Naturally, you can go for one of their healthy options too

Appetisers
What a choice! too many to mention but some of my faves; are the Bruschetta Mozzarella served with Pesto and Sundried Tomatoes or the mind-blowing Mushroom Cups, filled with herbs and cheese on a bed of sliced tomatoes, a mad combo of flavours!

Salads
If you fancy something light why not go for one of their delicious salads, the traditional Village Salad with a twist maybe, or if you prefer something a bit fancier why not try the Bread Shell & Goat Cheese Salad, Baby Spinach, Rocket, Goat’s Cheese fried Halloumi, Pomegranate and Walnuts served with a Honey and Mustard Dressing in a brown Bread Shell … They’re just to die for!

Speciality Platters
They serve a traditional Italian Anti Pasti or my fav to share, you must try the Cyprus Platters for Two or more, with a really cool presentation of Shrimps, Chicken Wings, Spring Rolls, Fried Mozzarella Sticks, Tandoori Chicken, Prosciutto and Smoked Salmon served with Potato Dippers and a Hot Cheese Salad Dip!  I’m hooked, delicious is an understatement!!! …

Sandwiches
Only got time for a quick snack? … Why not try their house special sandwich, the Liquid Sandwich with Bacon, Halloumi, Smoked Ham, Cheese, Tomato, Cucumber, Lettuce served in a baguette with French Fries and garnished Salad or the Mexican Traditional Nachos.

Grilled Dishes
I just love their steaks, with or without sauces, without doubt, one of the best in Napa, but I just adore the Tandoori Chicken, served with Jasmin rice, veg and green curry & mayo sauce … Or try their delicious grilled tender Lamb Chops flavoured with Balsamic Vinegar and served with grilled Egg Plant, another of my favourites!

Just a Snack
Now if any of those don’t take your fancy, Andreas said; “We also serve Burgers, Pizzas, Fresh Italian Pasta, and Pan-Fried dishes, but the Risotto with Wild Mushrooms is fast becoming a best seller.”  … and the list goes on, and on, tbh, even their Smoothies are filling 😉

Desserts
Make sure you leave space for one of their desserts.  They serve delicious Crepes, and Waffles, but then you really must try the ultimate chocolate experience, their ‘Coconut Chocolate Sphere’ melted chocolate with taste, Bueno and a touch of caramel, and stuffed with coconut ice cream!  It just has to be one of my favourite desserts anywhere, next to their amazing selection of Ice Cream choose from the menu or make your own!

Behind the Bar
Well, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find your favourite drink; from a cool selection of Draught and Bottled Beers, Ciders, and Wines, Spirits, Long Drinks, Sparkling Wines, Milkshakes and Ice Tea with flavour!  oh, and of course as it’s pure chill out here, so there’s a fantastic selection of exotic flavours ‘na kabnizis’, chilled with your favourite shot, to share with your friends 😉

Cocktails
You just have to try one of their long drinks or cool exotic cocktails or choose a Fancy Cocktail, a 70’s Cocktail, or Champagne Cocktail, or maybe one of the Classics with a twist … One of my favourites not on the menu; Tanqueray Gin, Aperol April Flower, fresh lime, fresh ginger, and pink grapefruit … check out their Videos 

Twice as Nice
The Double Passion is Bombay Gin, Triple Sec, Lychee Liqueur, fresh lime juice, Passion Puree, pineapple juice, mint and fresh passion fruit … and btw, they have really cool non-alcoholic cocktails too.

Untold Festival
One of the latest signature cocktails is the ‘Untold’ inspired by Antoni’s recent trip to the Untold Festival in Romania and as it’s untold, they wouldn’t even tell me, so, you’ll just have to ask.

Liquers & Tonics
Following a fast-growing new trend, Antonis told me; “this year we’ve created some lovely drinks with flavoured liqueurs and flavoured tonics”.  He made me try the Fleur de Fig with Mediterranean Tonic, it was really lovely, and you can ask for low-calorie tonics of course.

Special
Enjoy your day or evening in the lavish surroundings of the Liquid Cafe bar.  It will make your visit to the island something special and if you live here and have never tried it, what are you waiting for?  Liquid Cafe Bar is amazing, you have to try it and I’m sure you’ll go back again, and again, oh and if you need somewhere to stay, you must check out Liquid Hotel Apartments immediately behind the bar, you can’t get much more central.
