I was invited by Antonis and Demitries to try their 'All You Can Eat Sushi & More Buffet at The Fish House Restaurant in Ayia Napa.  I have to say it was the 'More' bit that got my curiousity going, so I had to ask, "Antonis said, "Our chefs conjure up a selection of salads, the prawn salad was delicious, and Asian dishes, like samosas, spring rolls, fried rice, noodles, crispy chicken, crispy duck and pancakes ... How could I resist?

You all know I love to find something a little different, especially when it falls into our 'Things to Do' category ... Only opening in May this year, I did a little more research and gave them a call.  We arranged a meeting with owner Lenny at the Putt Putt Mini Golf Course, so I could find out more ...

On the Greek Cypriot Orthodox calendar, the 15th of August is one of the most important feast days of the year ... it’s known as the Dormition of the Theotokos, also called the Assumption of the Virgin Mary ... and naturally the churches will be very busy ... do try and catch a service!

What makes Begafigo so special is its ideal location.  Ayia Triada, aka Trinity Beach, offers fine golden white sand, clear shallow waters, often as calm as a millpond, next to a scenic fishing harbour and the iconic, tiny, blue‑and‑white church, and as luck would have it, the launch of Tulum Beach Bar right next door was a blessing in disguise!

I love July, and you all know it's really my favourite month, partly coz it’s my birthday on the 27th and that means I’ve made it another year, and I’ll probably be throwing a party!  The main reason, of course, is it’s peak season, with temperatures in the shade in the high ’30s and it’s getting hotter through 'til August … 'bring it on', I say, we love it hot, that’s why we live here … Mmm, Don’t you just love Cyprus? ... On one of my afternoon visit's Rob wanted to get into the pool, and to my astonishment, the hotel had that covered too.  The lifeguards brought out this amazing winch-type harness, which has a secure borehole specifically poolside.  In a few minutes, the winch was set in its place, and they lifted Rob into the harness, which swivels over the water and lowers Rob onto a lilo so he can safely float, keeping his head above water.

The Tombs of The Kings, one of the most important archaeological sites in Cyprus has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list since 1980.  It is located and forms part of the archaeological Park of Kato Paphos.

Its April, that means summer's well and truly here, with temperatures expecting to surpass the mid 30°s Centigrade ... There's loads happening all over Cyprus, coz Orthodox Easter is on Sunday April 20th so we're expecting it to be a really busy month with Cypriots travelling from all over the world to experience the heritage and culture of Easter in their home country ... check out Tony's preview here ...
