Time to Change And of course, the summer wardrobe is replaced with those winter woollies as the winter wardrobe switches places with the summer one, and it's time to look good and enjoy our short mild winters ... or if you're reading this during our long summer, vice versa!

Our regular readers will have noticed that we’ve moved on from the basics, which you can still check out on this site ... It's one of my favourite months, coz the long hot summer is over, or is it? coz it looks like our prediction that 'we’re gonna have another Indian Summer this year', is happening with temperatures expected to hit 25°C this month it looks like we were right again!  Following that windy week at the end of October, the air is clearer, so the sun will be stronger, be warned!  So, you’ll still be able to wear shorts and a tee-shirt by day, chill out around the pool or pop down to the beach to Top up the Tan for Christmas, did I just say Christmas? omg! …

So I caught up with the fabulous Kay for a chat ... She told me, "This year's location has been kept secret and it's just been announced and it's at Paraklisha, in Limassol ... It's getting bigger every year, so far we have over 1,500 participants registered, who can all expect an unforgettable mix of adrenaline, teamwork and fun ... and for the first time there's a Kids Challenge too

It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!

I was invited by Antonis and Demitries to try their 'All You Can Eat Sushi & More Buffet at The Fish House Restaurant in Ayia Napa.  I have to say it was the 'More' bit that got my curiousity going, so I had to ask, "Antonis said, "Our chefs conjure up a selection of salads, the prawn salad was delicious, and Asian dishes, like samosas, spring rolls, fried rice, noodles, crispy chicken, crispy duck and pancakes ... How could I resist?

You all know I love to find something a little different, especially when it falls into our 'Things to Do' category ... Only opening in May this year, I did a little more research and gave them a call.  We arranged a meeting with owner Lenny at the Putt Putt Mini Golf Course, so I could find out more ...

What makes Begafigo so special is its ideal location.  Ayia Triada, aka Trinity Beach, offers fine golden white sand, clear shallow waters, often as calm as a millpond, next to a scenic fishing harbour and the iconic, tiny, blue‑and‑white church, and as luck would have it, the launch of Tulum Beach Bar right next door was a blessing in disguise!

I love July, and you all know it's really my favourite month, partly coz it’s my birthday on the 27th and that means I’ve made it another year, and I’ll probably be throwing a party!  The main reason, of course, is it’s peak season, with temperatures in the shade in the high ’30s and it’s getting hotter through 'til August … 'bring it on', I say, we love it hot, that’s why we live here … Mmm, Don’t you just love Cyprus? ...
