I popped in to catch up with the lovely Maria and David at Shakes & Lattes Board gamming Café in Larnaca ... They've just had three new games in ... One called 'Warriors of Krynn' the latest in War Game editions by Dragonlance released 2023 ... it's a cooperative game of adventure and strategy where you play heroes battling against the terrifying Dragon Army ...

I've known Andri, and Jimmy since before they opened.  What I like so much about this couple is the obvious passion for their business, as you walk in, the immediate impression is that this company has a touch of class! 

Then step out back, the pièce de résistance, an absolutely enchanting courtyard, mature trees, plants, and foliage everywhere, a red trellis adorning a multitude of colours ... It's become a lively meeting spot for locals to unwind after a busy day.  The warm glow of twinkling fairy lights adds an enchanting touch to the already picturesque setting.

Over a delicious Illy coffee, I asked Charbel how it all started; he said, "In the past, I was an HR Operations Manager in the F&B Sector ... Then we found this place, and between 2016 to 2021, we took Rise of the past, and Re-Branded it ... it was during the pandemic where I got the idea to take it to a new level and we had the time make some improvements, the idea was to 'Elevate your Hotel Experience' ... it's not just about the decoration it's about culture and spirit"

Wanax Beach Bar was one of the main reasons I wanted to catch up with Genia was to find out more about 'Wanax', their newly opened Beach Bar, come Tapas Beach Bar that I'm hearing is the in-place to be on the west coast, fast becoming one of the popular beach bars.  Opening every day as a beach bar, with an international a'la carte menu 'til 6 pm.  Then on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, it's a fabulous beach bar by day serving signature cocktails, and by night, from 7 pm 'til late it transforms into Wanax Mediterranean Tapas Bar, with a different concept, the themed specialty is Tapas, accompanied by a little live Salsa music and don't miss their weekly Sunday Latin Beach Parties

One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s.  The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC.  The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

It was the name that first caught my attention, brilliant I thought! ... Then, this wonderful idea, equally brilliant!, a Boardgaming Cafe, nestled in the vibrant city of Larnaca, and I just had to get together with David, owner of 'Shakes and Lattes' to find out more ...

... with one of the longest dive seasons in the world and some of the most popular dive sites on the island due to clear, calm, warm water without dangerous currents and high tides.  It has a variety of natural features such as caves, canyons, and huge drop off's which are safely accessible even on the occasional rough day ... plus a couple of new wrecks environmentally sectioned off to encourage plants and marine life! I’ve often watched Jenny completely change people in a few minutes … it is quite amazing what a good quality hair piece can do to make you look like someone new or maybe you just want to surprise someone, either way a visit here will suffice … oh and btw Jenny has a few selected summer clothing designs and sandals and not many people know this; she contributes considerable amounts of her profits to Children in Need in African ... an amazing woman !!!
