Now, this is where this place excels ... they call them seasonal 'Rain Gifts' because Tony and the family are dedicated to bringing you the freshest and most sought-after wild Cypriot produce, like baby wild Artichokes, Snails, fresh Asparagus, and Tony takes a regular trip to Paphos to find rare wild mushrooms, all part of the norm.  Tony often walks 15km to 25km a day to bring you the best selection that night ... needless to say if you like wild Mushrooms omg, this place is an absolute must!

George says ''expect to find an awesome selection of spicy food, coz the boss loves it spicy!'' ... but by 'spicy' he doesn't mean hot hot, he means full of flavours of the East, some mild, some medium and many that give a kick ... Everything is cooked to order, using freshly cut local vegetables and the finest cuts of meat, and seafood and imported ingredients from the East ... Then three top Chefs conjure up an extensive selection of Asian cuisines from, China, Thailand, Korea and Japan and of course Sushi ...

I am delighted to introduce you to The Lordos Group of Hotels as I've worked closely with their 3 hotels and indeed the Lordos family since 1993.  They are without a doubt one of Cyprus' leading companies and their 3 hotels certainly excel when it comes to location, comfort, and hospitality.  Each hotel with its own specific features, each hotel unique in its own way, all ideally situated in perfect locations, pretty much, right on the beach!

I loved this place the moment I saw the name, … It's a British Style pub, from the outside all white and doors, really cool signage and some comfy seating to enjoy a drink in the late sunny afternoons and watch the world go by, hanging baskets and signs everywhere. Inside, pristine, the bar wood and red brick, it's spacious with comfy seating, out back a Unique Beer Garden with regular live music events. Over to the right a separate games area, with pool table and regular Killer Pool and a Bar Football table … and to top it off one of the best chef's in Cyprus!!!

... But tbh, The Square Bar is better known for their Live Music, every night from 8.30 pm 'til late.  That's mostly down to Peter and Rob, of the legendary 'Live Lounge' in Cardiff fame, who told me "We partnered up with Panicos in 2014 to bring you the very best in live bands, duo and solo artists" ... We recently popped into Eden Square, firstly for dinner at El Chico Mexican Restaurant and following our delicious meal with a couple of perfect Mojitos in Nalu Cocktail Bar in Protaras. I grabbed a moment to chat to owner Constantinos on the night and I arranged a day to do a catch up …

I grabbed a chance to pop in for a chat with owner Andreas and his son Thomas.  With over 30 years experience Andreas is an expert in English Style Indian Cuisine.  He's contributed his whole life to his work, spending over 5 years on a mission to travel all over the UK researching the different recipes from the different settlers of various regions of Indian … btw, they also boast a TripAdvisor award putting them in the top 10% Indian Restaurants in the World!

I love what they've done to this place from the décor to the menu, to the relaxed ambience and attenuative service, with sea views to die for, by day or by night!  I've definitely be put them on one of my top places to eat, drink and relax, even if it's just for a coffee with apple tart or just a cocktail.

Pete told me he imports the best Cod from the North Atlantic, cuts it himself into 340 gsm portions, dipped into his mums secret recipe home made batter, which he said "I cant tell you the secret coz I'd have to kill you" hmm, and then fries it fresh to order using the finest vegetable palm oil, he says; "because I think it gives my cod the best flavour" ...

It's getting busier down here these days, with such a choice of cuisines and ambience,  many non residents are taking advantage of such a wonderful setting with a delightful backdrop and you don't have to make your mind up which one of them you'll visit first!
