100 Year Old House
Deceiving from outside, it’s an awesome 100-year-old house, converted into an amazing, busy, bar and restaurant with ten rooms on three floors, providing a very cool eating out experience, that you might have driven past over a hundred times … and tbh this one of my favourite pubs in the world … check out their Virtual Tour …
Surprise!
Behind all those hedges, you’ll find a really cool covered garden area with a smaller uncovered area. Inside it’s all wood and benches, comfy chairs, sidelights and candles, artefacts all over the walls and ceiling, it’s set on two more floors, which separate off into bars, lounges and little cubby holes, each with at least one TV screen and there’s even a separate Pool and Games Room and an awesome kitchen that doesn’t close ’til midnight …
Essential Moves
Established 1989, and becoming a family run business in 2004, The Blue Pine Bar & Restaurant was originally on the Dhekelia Road, opposite the Princess Hotel. Father, Christos, and son, Pani decided to relocate and moved to downtown Larnaca, creating this awesome bar, saying “They needed a bigger place to display all the stuff they’ve collected from their travels all over the world”, now pinned all over the walls and hanging from the ceilings.
Good Food
Famed for its American style kitchen, that serves ’til midnight, in fact, what you’ll find is a massive variety of International cuisines, making it so hard to choose, but trust me, there’s bound to be something you’ll like … New on the menu this year, I love the Mozzarella Sticks or The Deep Fried Camembert Cheese for starters, Sandwiches or Wraps with imagination, or The Ultimate Nachos, topped with Chilli Con Carne, Cheddar cheese and red peppers … or traditional Kebabs, or even better the Mix Grills, but The Platters of Mini Burgers, are fun and so hard to resist, choose 8 or 12 mini bacon and cheeseburgers with dips, just brilliant !!! … and for all the Vegan’s their new Vegan Burger is delicious! … Check out their Menu here.
Signature Dishes
OMG !!! You must try the huge rack of Spare Ribs covered in a tantalizing homemade secret BBQ Sauce … The massive 700 gram Jack Daniels Pork Chops, or the Black Angus Rib Eye Steak, maybe the Cuban Pork Loin and awesome tasty selection of Smokehouse handcrafted Burgers, homemade with tender Angus Steak, like The unique Guinness Sloppy Joe, oh and be warned, go hungry, coz the portions are absolutely massive!
Fish or Platters
If you’re into seafood try The Chefs Fish Delight Combo, with Cod, Salmon, Kalamari, Shrimps with dips and salad, absolutely delicious … or a Meat & Cheese Combo or maybe try, The Blue Pine Sampler, it speaks for itself 😉
Kids & Afters
The Kids Corner includes their yummy Mac Cheese Pasta, Chicken Fingers and of course The Mini Burgers … just wait ’til you try Blue Pines Brownies, or the Home Made Apple Crumble Pie with Vanilla Ice cream, in fact, all their desserts are to die for, really!
Drinks Menu
From an absolutely massive bar menu; with 18 Beers and Ciders on Draught, and over 30 in bottles including Wheat Beers, Dark Ales, Leiffe Beer, Chimay, Fruity Ciders, naturally all the labeled imported spirits, including over 20 Vodkas, through to a unique collection of Deluxe Single Malt Whiskies, with a great selection of local and imported Wines including a separate selection of their special recommendations, plus delicious coffees, teas and maybe a nice Cuban?
Cocktails
Choose classic, non-alcoholic to exotic cocktails, and just gotta say the Mojitos are class … New on the menu this year The Tennessee Teddy and The Burbon Berry Mule, both kick like one btw 😉
Live Sports
There’s free Wifi and 3 fireplaces for those chilly winter evenings and over 20 TVs scattered around the restaurant, so you can see at least one, to watch all the live sports, pretty much anywhere you sit … It has such a great atmosphere during the big games like Champions League and Premier League and International matches and it just makes you feel like you’re at home having a meal and chilling with friends.
Music Mix
They play a great selection of background music, leaning towards Jazz, Blues and Rock and look out for their Beer Promotional Events when the music goes live !!! and they usually have a party on special calendar nights.
Jack Daniels Room
This is a private room, decorated with limited edition Jack Daniels bottles from around the world and you really must check out their Malt Whiskey Room with a collection of over 200 Single Malt Whiskeys … just one of a few rooms offering a little privacy for your birthday party or business meeting, catered to your liking of course.
