Every year we think it rained more and it's colder than last year, but I'm sure this year it did and it was. OMG How cold???  But you'd better not blink or you’ll miss spring, that’s the first two weeks of March, when the blossoms are out, floral aromas everywhere and everything is sooooo green … I just love it!

Normally falling on the Thursday of the second week of the pre-Lenten period, this day is dedicated to indulging in grilled and roasted meats before the fasting season of Greek Orthodox Easter begins ... leading us to Green Monday.

On a beautiful summer's evening in June at Paralimni Amphitheater the Famagusta Orchestra Presented the concert 'Cyprus, Paradise on Earth' and invited a special guest to sing about the connection between Famagusta on the South East Coast and Morphou Village on our North West Coast ... Enchanting to say the least ...

So, I asked George to tell me about his choice of beef ... and quite amazingly he told me; "We were the first to bring the burger scene to Larnaca.  We mated Black Angus steers with our cows at several local farms, which gave birth to more Angus beef and we're now in our 16th generation and naturally, we get our beef fresh from our associated local farms ... ah ha! that's why my burger tasted so good!

Now I know it might sound crazy, but by the end of December up in the Troodos Mountains, you can go skiing or even Husky Sledding in the morning and by the afternoon you can be swimming in The Mediterranean Sea and that’s just one of the reasons why I think this place is Paradise! 

It's one of my favourite months, coz the long hot summer is over, or is it? coz it looks like our prediction that 'we’re gonna have another Indian Summer this year', is happening with temperatures expected to hit 25°C this month it looks like we were right again!  Following that windy week at the end of October, the air is clearer, so the sun will be stronger, be warned!  So, you’ll still be able to wear shorts and a tee-shirt by day, chill out around the pool or pop down to the beach to Top up the Tan for Christmas, did I just say Christmas? omg! …

It’s October already, that went quick!  and it really is one of my favourite months!  Partly because that long hot summer is definitely over, or is it? … I asked the fishermen and they said it might not rain again ‘til mid-November, with temperatures still up in the 30°C’s, as we enter October, that’s about 90°F in English.  Just as we predicted back in May, it looks like we’re going to have another Indian summer and we’ll still be going to the beach in December, Mmm, don’t you just love Cyprus!
