Sage Restaurant
This is one restaurant you have to put into the ‘exquisite’ category … it’s right in the heart of Ayia Napa’s bustling tourist centre, and without a doubt, one of Cyprus’ premium eateries with a team that has become an institution in Napa. In fact, Sage Fusion has been impressing me with their culinary flair for over 20 years. The fusion is French, Italian, Mexican, and Asian, with a strong emphasis on quality, fulfilled with passion, that you’ll notice from the moment you arrive and are greeted by their charming Maître ’D …
Gastronomic delights
Recently completely renovated, the new façade is well cool, it sort of tells you you’re in for something very special, and quite unique, and just wait ’til you see the stunning interior. You can choose to dine inside in air-conditioned comfort or under the stars on their elegant terrace. The Menu is full of enticing gastronomic delights, and the attentive and discrete service is exemplary, gaining its reputation as one of the most exclusive restaurants on the southeast coast of Cyprus, hmm, tbh, I’d probably say the whole island.
Natural elements
Inside, you’ll find warm honey tones, crisp monotones, and contemporary designer touches married with natural elements, including fresh accents of greenery that extend out onto their beautiful terrace, where you’ll savor your evening enjoying the balmy Cyprus climate, and cool Mediterranean breezes.
Pre Dinner
What better way to start the night than with one of their Pre-Dinner & Champagne Cocktails … The Bellini, a blend of champagne and peach snaps … The Aperol Spritz, blended with Aperol, champagne, soda, a slice of orange, or my favourite the Royale Ginger; Tanqueray, blackcurrant, Royale distilled Gin, honey syrup, lemon juice, and ginger beer … it’s a tastebud explosion!
Signature Cocktails
The mixologists are on another level, blending perfectly created cocktails with premium spirits, liqueurs, fresh fruits, and juices, their presentation is their art … their Mojito, is just perfect, and the Mediterranean Spritz, exciting, but my fav has to be the Spicy Leo, Hendricks Gin, jalapenos syrup, fresh lime, and mint leaf.
Entre’
Guy’s if you really want to impress the love of your life, order a few Marennes Oysters to accompany your pre-dinner cocktails, served with fresh lemon and sweet chilli sauce on crushed ice!
Starters
They serve a cool selection of crispy salads, but you have to try the Passion Salmon Tartar, it’s Fresh raw salmon tartar, with lime, sesame oil, soy sauce, spring onion, and passion fruit on a bed of garlic avocado salsa accompanied with wakame seaweed salad. One of my faves, the Confit Duck with dry figs and Prosciutto, sprinkled with sesame and Teriyaki, sounds delicious? try it, it really is! …
Pastas
If you fancy Pasta as your main, the Crab Meat Ravioli is just something else. Ravioli filled with crab meat and asparagus, served in a light cream Abalone sauce. Or, just as delicious, the Polo e Penne, Penne with chicken, cream, garlic, bell peppers, tomato sauce, and mushrooms, tbh, I can’t get enough of it!
Vegetarian
They also have Vegetarian options, Corn Tacos, and Vegetable Risotto, but my fav has to be the homemade Vegetable Spring Rolls, with rice vermicelli flavoured with sesame oil and served with ginger soy and sweet and sour sauce … and following fashion, and by popular demand, Sage Fusion has added Gluten-free Pasta, Gluten-free Bread, Vegan options, and tbh they will satisfy all dietary requests.
Seafood
The Mongolian Style Seafood Platter is a must for Seafood lovers; Prawns, tuna, sea bream, mussels, and calamari served with a warm oyster sauce it’s so hard to resist! … but not as hard as the King Prawn ‘5 Spice’, it’s stir-fried king prawns in sweet and sour sauce, basmati, wild rice, and vegetables, it’s another taste bud explosion!!!
Prime Cuts
Serving undoubtedly one of the best steaks in town it’s so hard to choose which one; The Australian Rib-Eye or the American Angus Fillet or the Australian Tomahawk … then how to eat it … my fav is the Peppercorn Beef Fillet is one of the best I’ve ever tasted and the house special, the ‘Sage Beef Fillet’, is prime fillet of beef with apple, pineapple, and ginger finished in a cream port wine sauce … it’s just divine!
Dry Aged
If you want to enjoy beef at its finest you have to Dry Age prime it for 18 to 35 days in the specially designed dry aging refrigerator. Choose it grilled over real charcoals or covered in your favourite sauce.
International
If you fancy something a bit different, then why not try the Saffron Chicken, it’s to die for !!! … The Roasted Duck is exceptional and the Pork Rustic, Mmm! … Seriously this Menu is extensive, to say the least, and has something to please everyone’s tastebuds!
Desserts
Let’s just say, make sure you leave some room for afters because they are all homemade and all I can say is … omg !!! … my fav just has to be the Chocolate Sphere, topped with ice cream and covered in hot melted chocolate, and is best described as ‘death by chocolate’!
Children’s Menu
This is a family restaurant so you’ll also find a large, fun, Children’s Menu including The Humpty Dumpty, small pieces of golden fried chicken served with French fries and salad or The Three Mermaids, three fried fish fingers served with French fries and salad … oh, seriously, the kids will love it here!
Cava
Fine food deserves a befitting drink to accompany it, which is why Sage offers an extensive wine cellar of carefully selected vintages that will complement your meal, as well as cocktails, spirits, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Sommelier
Manager, Geoerge a qualified Sommelier will guide you in making the right wine pairing, ensuring that your selection enhances your dining experience. Their Wine Menu features both award-winning Cyprus and international vintages from large producers but also from independent boutique wineries.
Entertainment
On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays you’ll find a little live music to accompany your dining experience … generally soft jazz, a little saxophone, solo singers, and occasional acoustic guitar.
Royalty
In my books, this is a 5 Star restaurant, but what I really like about the place is it doesn’t matter how much you want to spend, you’ll still be treated like royalty … it’s always good to hear opinions, so you just have to check out their reviews on Trip Advisor … but please, do go and experience this place for yourself, it’s a higher caliber of dining for all the family and tbh I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bad thing about them !!! … Check out the Menu before you go …
