Protaras & Pernera

I've watched this pub grow since it opened in 1988.  It's all dark wood, tables, comfy seats and benches.  The whole place is covered in artefacts, flags, posters, blackboards and hundreds of photos added over the years.  I'm sure I'm in a few, ha!, in fact, I probably took a few of them too.  It's a GastroPub with a cool mix of an international clientele, and of course, the locals in the area, even our nationals who swarm down to the East Coast for a swim on a weekend, and something to eat, and all add to the ever-increasing repeat custom and inevitably, I'd have to say; it's one of the most successful pubs in Cyprus! ... Tbh, the weekends are soooo busy I prefer to go Monday til Thursday, I get more attention ;)

It's on the top road, quite apt really coz this is without a doubt one of the finest eateries in the area, offering a captivating fusion of Tex-Mex, Native American, and American diner cuisine.  You'll find it nestled between the two sets of traffic lights, at the top of the strip, before the Prophet Elias lights, tbh you can't really miss it, it's the one with the teepee tent on the top, and its spacious, to say the least.

I just love the facade and the interior decor is sort of warehouse-like, classy with industrial tones and extra trimmings, pallets hanging from the ceiling, newspaper collages on the pillars, cool lighting and an awesome looking bar with more bottles than you can count ... 11 years later, the massive repeat custom says it all ... and I can't recommend The Malthouse highly enough!

One of the most impressive features of the Amathus Ruins is the Temple of Aphrodite, which I believe, was excavated in the 1980s.  The temple was a center of worship for the goddess of love and beauty and was believed to have been built in the 6th century BC.  The temple was adorned with beautiful sculptures and frescoes, many of which can still be seen today.

I just love this luxurious accommodation located on the quiet side of Protaras.  I asked Larisa to tell me more ... Tony explained; "It's a really cozy, family-friendly resort, in a wonderful part of Cyprus, with 66 Apartments, designed with both style and comfort in mind" ... They're tastefully decorated, boasting a modern aesthetic look while exuding a cozy ambiance.  There are 47 x 1 Bedroom, 3 x 2 Bedrooms, and 16 Studios, all with a well-equipped kitchenette and self-catering facilities, a spacious balcony or terrace, some with a pool view, and a few with a sea view.

The company owns and runs, 4 Mercedes Taxis of the latest 2021 models ... 2 x 14 Seater Mini-Buses, and a Stretch Limousine all dolled up inside, all fully insured, fully air-conditioned, and kept in immaculate condition.

... it's almost inevitable that this place goes from home dining to partying like only the Cypriots know how!

Voted the best disco in town, this place has been smashing it in Napa for 28 years now ... Retro decor and the featured yellow mini DJ box and dancing on the bars with free shots, fire shows and sparklers a nightly event ... it's not to be missed!
