Lithos Rock Band, Protaras
Lithos Rock Band have been part of the rock scene in Protaras for over 12 years, these day's they're booked 7 nights a week at the excellent Q Bar in Protaras! What I really like about them is you don't really know what they are going play each night, coz that depends on the audience ... with some 400 to 500 tracks on their play list, they don't even plan what they're going to play next ... one thing's for sure you'll get a professional show from a group who can play so well together and btw, they can all sing too!

Cyprus, October 2021
Anyway, as I was saying, Indian summer, beach ’til Christmas, topping up the tan, sounds good to me … and, we hear there’s frost in Europe, sounds even better, haha, suffer , and, as in Cyprus, we live for the table!, dining outside in October is heaven, hey, why else do we live here? And, on that note, there’s enough restaurants open in our Eating Out category to choose a different cuisine every day for a fortnight! ... And if you're organising your wedding click here ...
George Mintis Law Firm, Paralimni
I popped into catch up with George and Eva Mintis who have been vey busy since Covid started, with the increase of interest from people moving to Cyprus from the EU and UK ... the topic of conversation moved towards Brexit and it seems they are even busier now, assisting with the purchase of property, offering legal assistance and property conveyancing and indeed immigration procedures after Brexit. Cyprus of course is still having close ties to Britain. On that note, this law office is highly respected in all these procedures.
Cyprus, September 2021
Another reason I love September is we move into low season from about 5th and with the kids back at school, it’s time for the younger and older couples and groups of single friends and work colleagues to take their summer hols, eating out more, drinking just as much and going home early for one reason or another?, and so everyone is walking around with smiles on their faces, which is very infectious … so everyone is happy! … tbh, it’s said that more money is spent here in September than any other month and so the finale to the season is usually a good one! … and boy, don’t we need it!
July 2021

June 2021
Topical
Things are starting to happen, with more of the hospitality industry trying to offer the few tourists here somewhere to go ... but I think I’m gonna be saying a few if's, maybe’s and and hopefully’s this month and, if I can give you just one worthwhile tip, "it’s summer, so make sure you drink lots more water!"
May 2021
So if we do go into the green, expect to see many restaurants, bars and cafe's reopening all over Cyprus and visitors arriving from numerous countries as we'll be one of the safest places in the world! Naturally helped by the increase in natural vitamin D that the sun provides us for 330 days a year in Cyprus!
April 2021
tbh I believe Cyprus will have a good year, firstly because we are up there in the top 5 countries on the way we handled the covid ‘pandemic’, well after all it’s a Greek word so we should know how to handle it … and secondly, because with over 20 million Europeans normally travelling to Spain, Portugal and Italy I imagine a few of them will opt to come to paradise instead …
Nicole’s got the Cutting Edge
First Nicole measured the distance exactly, then again, "measure twice, cut once" she whispered, a lady of my heart lol ... she carefully twisted the bottle putting a score mark around the base, just where we wanted it. Then poured boiling hot water from the kettle onto the score on the bottle, and immediately put the bottle under cold running water to provide the stress shock to the glass and 'Ping' the bottoms dropped off ... it looked easy!
